Fellow nairalanders, pls I need your advice on this issue.

I put resources together to complete a building for my parent in a very remote area of Egbeda in Oyo state where they are living now. I want to connect the house to electricity and due to my present low level of fund, I won't be able to afford even the prepaid meter till middle of this year.
I visit an Phcn outlet here, met with the marketer for the area, he told me to pay some money for connection in the office to the cashier, get a receipt and I will be paying 1,500 monthly to the office or I should process the one for the regular estimated billing system. I left undecided to the area and I found out that most of the houses on the estimated billing are paying over 4k monthly and won't be able to migrate to the prepaid meter till they settle all their arrears.

Should I simply go with the regular 1,500 monthly or go with the estimated billing system for now?

If you love yourself, and want to save yourself from unnecessary headache just chill till when you can afford prepaid meter otherwise NEPA go open office for your head

1500 payment to whose account? Ask questions around and be sure the 1500 payment is an official payment by PHCN.

After police...fear Nepa officials. I know what I am saying.

Mod: Just try and squeeze some cash and get that meter for them. I think they are of two types..the one phase meter which is about 30k+ and the three phased meter about 70k. Pls go to their customer care and make proper findings.

I learnt that in a nearby community here, each house pays around 1k each monthly because the place is still a rural area mostly will mud houses
