No fewer than 25 persons have been reportedly killed on the 26th of January in kwatas bokkos local government plateau state.
It was said that the attackers came during the usual Sunday relaxation hours of 7pm, they arrived on motto bikes shooting sporadically at the locals.

The corpses have been deposited at the pathology complex morgue. Pictures coming soon

Are these tragic occurrences purposely allowed to happen just like that without any resistance
from the government?

I'm asking because I'm sure the security agencies especially the DSS are usually aware of impeding attacks.
For example, there was supposed to be an armed pirate attack somewhere in Benin republic via the water ways sometimes in 2017. The DSS were aware and were stationed. Well, the pirates truly came and were all killed by DSS.
You might wanna ask what our DSS is doing in Benin... but I owe no explanations for that.

So then I wonder why there are series of attacks in Nigeria and yet no resistance.

Perhaps, these successful attacks could be 1 successful attack out of 100 planned ones.
