I have a friend who is Oluwafemi and his both parents are Igbos but they grew up in Lagos. They all have Yoruba and Igbo names. First name Igbo, second name Yoruba except their first and second with English and Igbo names

The little story behind the "Rotimi" in Amaechi's name is that he was so named or given that name by his father who wanted him to sturdy law. His father decided to name him after the then law guru Rotimi Williams.

Amaechi is an ikwere man and the Ikweres don't bear Rotimi,it is not their name.
