I shed tears when I see deals like this and remember that somewhere in Nigeria, someone is about to pay this same amount for a dead ass 2006 Toyota corolla.

i laugh heavily when I come across a dead 2008 ford edge stranded along Lagos ibadan expressway with the owner and his luggage trying to flag down a man in his 2006 Toyota Corolla which has made that journey 20 times without so much as a tyre issue

look at this naive person comparing a 2008 Ford Edge with a 2006 Corolla, that comparison alone shows that sense is far from you

if you are so clever, why don't you import just 1 2008 Ford edge and see how long it would take you to sell it, Ford Edge that isn't even particularly reliable in the country it was manufactured, is what you want to compare to a 2006 Corolla with reliability percentage in the 90s and tops the list of the most popular cars worldwide

at the end of the day, your money, your problem, just don't make unnecessary comparisons borne out of ignorance

Oga keep kwayet!
If not for the Toyota bred kick and start mechanics we have in this country, can you compare ANY Ford product to Toyota
How many Audi's do you see plying our roads, even though its the cheapest in terms of "luxury" cars. And here you are comparing Corrola to FordEdge.
I'm sure you don't even know what FWD and AWD is in real sense

so silly that you didn't notice who made the comparison in the first place

For real, bro. Our major problem with cars, in this country, is that there aren't much specialized mechanics for the different brands

I remember in the 90s and early 2000s, the Benz 200-230, then the popular 190 and V-boots, and the Peugeots, Nissans, and Volvos, had more mechanics, because they were the 'reigning' cars of that era. Now, it's Toyotas, even though there are better brands and models oit there.

I'd rather put my money on the Ford Edge or the Nissan Rogue or the Mercedes Benz, that amdman recently posted, than on a 2004-2006 Corolla. E no go better for fuel efficiency or parts availability. Life is too short to be making such nonsense choices. If na so oyinbo sef dey think, then, they'd still be stuck in 2004-2006-Corolla mode.

I'm not the one buying, but stop discouraging people from living the good life.

If not for the poverty that has eaten deep into you, i see no sane human being that will compare a Corrola to ANY FORD product. You think the almighty Corrola is prone to faults?
When your village people free you from the shackles of poverty so you can afford a car, you'll know the crime you just commited by that comment after driving both cars.

It's because it's the car of the future but we as a nation we're moving back in time just like dat dingbat comparing Ford to Toyota

The two car are good, they meet different needs. Though one is more reliable and less expensive to maintain than the other. Check out madam Radautoworks thread you will see more Ford car needing heavy repairs like transmission rebuid etc

Hahahahaha. Don't mind the discombobulated nincompoop. See him typing angrily and using expletives just to defend a common home appliance like a corolla. If not for poverty true true, what is a corolla compared to a Ford Edge? Ask him now and he will say e no dey chop fuel. Fuel is, and would forever remain their useless rhetoric as to why a car as bland and totally useless as a Toyota corolla should be mentioned when car discussions are going on.

I think the "e no dey chop fuel" mentality has made them forget what a "CAR" really is.
265 horsepower
253 pound torque
six-speed automatic transmission
All-wheel drive
Vs
126 horsepower

Bros, sincerely you can't blame anyone defending a corolla really. Cos the way the mechanics of today have painted that car has if it's the only option available in the world. Had such an experience with one,n d way he talked about the honda. I wan run away anytime I see one. Forgetting that my mother used one in those days. Regardless of whatever we are told, let's not forget that every car get e own time n season in Nigeria. That's not to say that other cars are useless.

Corolla as a model enjoys the strongest sales figure in the world either as a new car or a pre-owned you may call it bland, but the oyibo that keeps showing preference to Toyota models are not fools.

The direct Toyota competitor of Ford Edge is RAV4. Havnt you also wondered why it's annual sales figure is almost half a million in the US while the Ford Edge manages to sell only more than 100,000 units per year despite Ford being an American Brand. Can you compare the price of RAV4 and Ford Edge
Or Corolla and Ford Focus.
There's more to a vehicle than aesthetics.

Have you ever heard the saying that a Toyota Drives Forever.

The bitter truth is that we all know that Toyota has the highest reliability ratio and low maintenance costs than any other brand as well as the strongest resale value than any other brand.
Do you want to talk about Toyota Hilux Vs Ford Ranger or any other pickup? Well, there's a reason why construction companies, Sahara desert smugglers, Libyan Human traffickers, terrorist organizations in the world from Boko Haram to ISIS and others in the Middle East prefer Hilux. Also there goes a saying.
