I just watched a video where the Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki vows to deal with APC national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole if he keeps disturbing the peace of the state.

He said "I am the governor of Edo State and I so authorize it. If anyone comes to your ward or local government to do things outside what the party has agreed, I hereby authorize you to deal with that person seriously.

“We are warning the suspended national chairman. If he continues his activities in Edo State, I will show him that I am the governor of Edo State".


Political analysts In the house, who is more powerful between a state governor and national chairman of a party,? Can a governor arrest his party's National chairman?

Obaseki have no power to arrest oshiomole even without the osho being a chairman.
Obaseki a one term governor know the fact that he has lost his second term.

One is an ex governor so he only got respect and not authority so yes he keep disturbing the peace of the state, he can be arrested but this is naija sha and he is an apc demigod

There is a clause there (suspended national chairman). Since he has been suspended he can be arrested.

I think only the Edo APC referred to him as such. Other states still call him national chairman

And Oshiomhole is the elected governor of Edo state? Common sense is indeed not common.
Go and check for the constitutional powers of a state governor or president. Go and even check how Oshiomhole as a governor harrased the Minister of Justice when his P.A was mudered .
The Minister of Justice then even recognised his office as a governor and told him he won't have confrontation with him.

Who's Oshiomhole presently, just a party chairman? Even his party chairmanship is now under scruntiny as he has been suspended by the party at ward level, and as they say, politics is local.

Oshiomhole will technically dismantle Obaseki.

As dull as buhari the only person he probably knows in imo is rochas, rivers ameachi, edo oshomole.

These are men that he worked with as governors when he was in cpc, so they have his ears

He can arrest him if he has a good ground to do so. But he will dearly or deadly pay for it in Nigeria. Oshiomole isnt his mate x 10.
