Only update I have is for guys to be dedicated.
Take at least 4hrs to study and practice your data very well.
TABLEU & Power BI is really becoming a force in data industry.
Most bosses want you to show your analysis in with Pure class tools... matplotlib and seaborn or ggplot are good but in reality you need to know these 2 tools.
Having these tools gives you edge ahead of others.
Dashboards are what makes you superior in this data industry and ability to run complex Statistical analysis when its needful.
For Machine learning and deep learning dudes: its advisable you store your codes. The practice is still the same but slight variations. You can reconfigure and transform your columns and fit it to your predictive model.Good also to push your codes to github.
If you wanna be doing descriptive analysis please master pandas, researchpy, statsmodel api plus time series analysis too.

JOURNEY TO DATA SCIENCE

Best website I visited that changed me was FREETUTORIALS.US...
Damn! I could get any course paid for free.
All I need was to get data..
I started doing free night bundle from airtel just to Download these videos. Had 4 different SIM cards for this deadly attack to download free paid videos. Had to learn pandas from head to toe...Migrated to machine learning, then deep learning...... all these while my knowledge on excel was 2%.... it was a pure embarrassment that as an aspiring data scientist I don't know excel that much...That's how I downloaded another video on excel..did the excel for a month including advanced features..

Just found out that they've closed this website. Any other one where I can get paid courses for free?

Do you need yo be good in mathematics To take a deep course on data science or Machine learning

Web developers need to do more like the OP. They hardly share their upcoming experiences. Am I the only one who thinks programmers are very stingy with knowledge?

Unable to drop a good infographics roadmap for DS here. If somebody can, I could send it to his box to do so.

already started my journey into data science, prior before now I had a mentor(my cousin) who is a data scientist in Australia who talked extensively on data science and gave various tools necessary. So I brushed through excel by taking some course like analysing data using excel and other courses on Edx(videos) then currently learning sql using sql server express learnt basics using w3schools and sqlzoo which am done, practicing using ssms and sample database like(adventureworks and northwind) so refreshing. Also I have some PDFs book having questions and problem from beginner to advance on the sample database listed, once am done I will also take some courses on edX. Afterwards would move into python and other tools.

just wanted to share my journey for the past one month. thanks Ejiod and other contributors.

if you are also on this journey into the world of data science quote me, let's relate

I am currently a PhD student in data mining. I once took a course on data science and I agree with you, data science is all about visualization. We once had a 4 hour lecture on making graphs look beautiful. Continue the good work...
Ejiod:

There are 2 or if not 3 field in data analysis
Descriptive/Explorative analysis
You need to master these skills
Excel,PowerBI,Tableau,Pandas,SQL,

Predictive analysis
This is where machine learning, deep learning and NLP comes in.This forms the real basics of AI.

Both are under data science. However its advisable to have those skills set under both so you have edge.If you are just doing machine learning without knowing any visualization tools or excel it's just you playing around.
