We can all see from this release by the DHS that the restrictions all boil down to security issues in contrast to the popular belief that it is because our people overstay their visa. Nigeria's security risk is presently at an all-time high and no one should blame the US for its action, rather, put the blame on the incompetence of your security chiefs who are headed by a religious and tribalistic bigot. 2 Likes |

Would the US ban affect applicants that have pending immigrant visa application? Or they won't accept new applications anymore? |

Iamgrey5: I don’t think even specialist Doctors will qualify. That exception is a standard US reference to e.g. in case war, those who risk their lives to be interpreters and could also be spies as the other individual stated. US has been using this specialized exception for years in the Mideast to resettle these category of people in the US. US have abundant of specialist Doctors, they need people who are willing to risk their lives on behalf of the US government....In some sense, joining the US military or marine might also qualify under this clause. 1 Like |

[quote author=solmus post=86285987] the fact is that Buhari is trading with Russia and China and this is worrisome to US, with Russia aggreeing to complete Ajaokuta, and even promissing to build us two nuclear plant with a soft loan on top of that they gave us Apache helicopters which Americans would want us to wait till 2022 after paying 300million usd for mere super tucano turbo prop plane (planes with fan engine, not jet) this is upseting Trump Over Staying rate of US visa by Nigerians have drastically reduced because of reduced Visa issuiance, even when it was on the rise Trump did nothing until we started looking for trade with the russians , Nigerians have the most law abiding US migrants in the US Army, as College Professors, Nurses and Paramedics, something lazy redneck American Racist cant do Oloshi Trump and his Dunce Nigerian supporters, Nigeria doesnt need your VISA, we dont need your aids, and we dont need you stashing our Abacha loot, what we need are simply *Stop Blocking our access to use our own uranium to have nuclear powers *Stop stopping am sales from other countries to us *Stop recieving our looted fund and seizing it for your own development *Stop blocking our attempts at using coal with useless paris agreemnet even when you are still using coal plants *American Chevron should also stop benefiting from our resources, you cant be milking as high as 40% in NNPC JV and keep lambasting our people .[/quote USA doesn't like it when other countries don't agree with them..the old Fool does not want buhari to trade with Russia, why |

clarocuzioo: Buhari was trying to use the so called "African Visa for All" program to secret open the backdoor for foreign Jihadists of African origin fighting for ISIS, Al shabaab to quietly establish presence in Nigeria. The United States counter-terrorism task-force quickly spotted it and closed that security vulnerability. 1 Like |
