my dear keep trekking, it is a part of exercise. Meanwhile the reason of the banning is for our own good. The influx of Hausa Fulani/ herdsmen in lagos state is on the high rise. Have you ask your self who is sponsoring these boys, who is giving them these keke and bike. Ndi Igbo siri na nwa nnunu na agba egwu n'uzo ihe na akuru ya egwu no nime ohia, meaning that, a bird that dances on the road the drummer is inside the bush. My dear pls keep trekking. God gave us leg to walk. You get leg they complain if no get leg you will still complain. Pls appreciate God for that.
i dont like the way people are using hausa bikers has a case study. please lets be considerate the hausa bikers later grow to do better in lagos, send their children to sch and also take returns back home. b4 u knw it we would have elevated the mentality of the northerners here and when they go bck theyll correct their brothers on how people here live with religious tolerance, together we making like better.
to me this is a non diplomatic strategy and to claim the security benefit undecided is a proof that lagos government cant secure the state without tribal discrimination.
mind you many yorubas are also affected this policy is against the poor not even one particular tribe

Why would you ban something without an alternative? All those people saying "yen, yen, yen, Nigerians are lazy and don't like trekking" will know what's up on Monday. There's a difference between exercising and mad's people walk. Na mad people waka I do today.

Very funny . Which one is mad people walk again?

Sure, hit the roads with your suit and briefcase when you're late for work. Excercise is different from trekking, stop kidding yourself.

The scenario you described here is a regular thing in the street of New York.

I agree with Lagos state management board spokesman or something like at DW satellite television, that banning Okada will force many of these operators to go and learn a trade like painting, welding, carpentry etc, what is baffling is a university graduate based on there are no jobs, will simply choose to be an Okada rider, and fail to think outside the box and put to a better use of his university education.
so according to you the best way to make use of your university education is by painting, welding, carpentry etc, undecided thats the life you want for every graduate abi?
after spending five or four years in service they should now go back to being an apprentice of welding, barbing, painting. as much as i dont see this works as bad for a graduate ill say most parent are part of the problem since they dont get their children engage in one hand work or the other at the earlier stage.
but on your part youre just sitting at one corner of your spitting trash, the greedy/selfish heart of men is just too obvious, im very sure you cant finish your degree and start afresh learning handwork for maybe another three years. gerrout

I am still looking at how I will get to obalende from Cms then onward to falomo. I plight this route to work using keke. I dont think they is a direct bus from marina in cms to falomo.

Monday is gonna be crazy men.

Or simply put, where can I get a bus from cms to falomo in ikoyi?

I literally trekked from ojuelegba to yabatech this morning.. On my way back from shoprite, I trekked to doyin

What is the way forward my people?

How has the ban on keke and okada affected your movement in Lagos?

Lagos residents only..

Opportunity to stay fit and stay alive.

I paid #100 instead of #50 because the Keke passed through street instead of main road

"Alternative" is the word bro...

No alternative was given... Shoot first then ask questions later governance style... By then innocent person is dead already

Ur today trekking is probably the least of ur worries ohh....

Monday go madt gan...

Then after a while the Keke and bike riders wld run out of cash for survival... Then they'll seek other means of survival wch we all know is not quickly feasible in 9ja

Then they resort to other things like crime

E go tough...

We are in for a big one

I’m 100% with the ban. I live in Lagos

You guys are simply lazy. I visited Lagos last August and stayed in a hotel around Agungi in Lekki. I normally went to Megachicken by the 2nd toll gate to eat. I usually trekked back and forth. And that was like 5km in total. By the time I returned to my base, I already lost some weight. I loved it, and the breeze was cool too. Only problem was there was no good walkway.

Though I suppot your sentiments on walking- your agungi to megachicken example sounds like pure exaggeration.

Kudos to Mr. Governor.

If not because of Ambode that became lax with laws, Lagosians would've been used to it by now.
Because this is a Fashola's Stuff..

We simply adjust our livestyle in view of the reality on ground.

Okada and Keke has made a lot of us lazy and lacking in any physical activities. I remember one small girl telling the parents that she doesn’t want to go to UK for vacation simply because of, according to her, “one will trek and trek and trek...”

People have simply forgotten the health benefits of regular exercise and trekking is one.

So let’s hit the roads.

You are asking Nigerians who are struggling to eat twice a day to start trekking under the hot sun abi?

I be proper Lagos boy, but the truth is that the state is a joke for the average masses. Terrible joke. Very poor standard of living for the average working class or hustling peeps. But they don't know. Lol.

That said, I only support this okada ban because of the dangerous influx of these abokki bastards. They just have to be ejected. I'm sure of their okadas are purchased with kidnapping ransoms. Useless animals with their evil agenda.

Better for people to trek from Okokomaiko to Mile 2 than for these abokki idiots to be allowed to compromise security of residents.
