3/4 months I doubt...
The entire recruitment won't last more than mid January..

It's the last week of January and it's just Assessment Center stage. Like I earlier said, 2 - 4 months before foundation school. Has nothing to do with workforce

This was from two years ago. A.C took four days too.

That's how Workforce Sidelined Us by the Dropping Regret Mail grin grin grin.... I wonder the high competition in this Documentation stage that is greater than the competition in both tests we wrote before the Documentation.

I'm happy some folks made it to AC... I wish you all the best in the next stage.

Congrats to everyone that received a success mail. Wishing you the very best.

so, am sitted here wondering what i could have done wrong, or that I didn't do so well as to meet the cutoff and i cant really lay my fingers on them (meaning its the kind of mistake one is bound to repeat) . And i think every successful candidate can be used as a measure of the qualities that were tested for on that day. I would appreciate if maybe 2 or 3 people from those that received the success mail would be willing to just take a little timeout and help me answer the following questions( you can leave answering them untill after the assessment for discretionary reasons, but please do get back to answering them).

1. how old are you? eg 24
2. what is your discipline and grade(first class or lower)? physics, first class
3. any professional courses or masters program and such?
4. if u have worked at any financial institution? maybe at any other bank
5. if u happen to have any unemployment gaps? and how long?
6. if u answered the netflix issue question and how u would have graded yourself out of ten eg...answered all the questions, 7/10
7. and also what you personally thought gave you the edge?

that kind of thing...please am begging please try and answer them...u be helping a lot of people. thanks

PS: though i would like for the answer to be something that would be seen by others now and through time, but here's my personal contact (whatsapp): 08062551247.

Those that were invited. One question for you guys please. Did you submit your testimonials for documentation? Someone is saying that counts as well so I want to know in case of next time.

One thing I know for sure was that most people getting the regret mails didn't get it due to documents presented. Some may have tho as it's the case; incomplete relevant documents as requested in the email.

But I believe the Crux of the regret mails came from the short presentation session with the bank representatives. Ability to understand the case study given; how the presentation was delivered in terms of command of English, ability to express oneself, being calm and delivering, etc. I'm no expert but I remember someone here saying that you don't have to understand the topic to pass that stage. That was terrible advice.

Terrible one.

Although the topics from the feedback I got were a bit technical, it is expected of candidates to understand the topic and prepare above average points to do a decent job. Even at that, some were unlucky with the topics they got e.g. a chemical engineer missing out on a renewable energy related topic, to get one related to credit risk. While his fellow candidate with banking and finance background got a topic about how to mitigate greenhouse emissions. Sometimes these things happen.

Pele.

But don't give up, more firms in the financial services industry will roll out openings for their entry level in the coming months. They will have almost similar processes; practice, prepare and read up previous thread on Nairaland. With adequate preparation and practice, you can't go wrong. Don't wait until a test invite comes before you start preparing; same for other stages. Cos you can be dropped out at any stage, even at the training school if you don't make the cummulative cut off (you can imagine that)

For those with A.C this week; prepare o!

I no go talk am again. Workforce a.c is easy and hard, depending on how you want yours to go. Sterling bank is a sweet place to be; give it all your best.

E go be!

(Please stop sending me request for DMs, I won't respond to them)

From a sample size of 70,682 candidates who sat for graduate aptitude tests, about 11,933 had scores that would have been considered successful for the different tests they sat for; a 17% success rate.

These successful candidates were subsequently taken through assessment centres. The exercises were designed to assess them against the various competencies for the respective jobs they were being considered for.

Results from the assessment centres showed that only about 39% of these candidates who passed the aptitude tests were successful when directly assessed against the competencies required on the job in an assessment centre.

Interview stage. Could be singly or in two folds i.e. top management interview or panel interview. If it's in two fold, the later will come before the former. But if it's singly, then it's just the former i.e. TMI. But from the past year's recruitment processes, it's most likely will be just TMI. Won't be long before the invites start rolling in (give or take 1 - 2 weeks), most likely on a weekend too.

May not be able to come back to this thread due to my hectic schedule but congratulations once again to those who progressed to this stage. You're literally a step away from the foundation school i.e. being a Graduate trainee. You just have to put in the best effort to nail this final stage.
