My take is, the AK 47 is an assault rifle that should be rarely seen around. But here in Nigeria and in major part of Africa, security operatives flash it around like souvenir. The damage is always lethal( intentional discharge or not). Restricting its use would go a long way to curb deaths by stray bullets. Lighter arms like the pistols should be used on routine patrols while a sophisticated team should be on standby in case the need arises.
