hello nairalanders, I'm UnibenAkpos nick name sha. i am a 300lv student of university of benin, faculty of agriculture. currently studying agricultural econs. I'm writing this to inspire others to do better in their academics, although i know school does not guarantee success or financial freedom but i believe what is worth doing is worth doing well.

I gained admission into uni in 2017 then i was working with Ajeast nig ltd. I left secondary school in 2012 although i got OND during that before proceeding to uni, it did not reduce the difficulty i faced adapting to academic life in uni. when i saw my prospectus and the courses i will be registering for 100lv, i knew i have to start reading immediately to avoid stories that touch. It was not easy as new student we did not know who the scholars were, everybody just dey form scholar. I registered for tutorials outside school, went for night class, and did all i thought was necessary. The result came out for 100lv and i had 3.2 gp, that was 2:2. i decided to work harder putting more effort and when the result for 200lv came out i had 4.3 gp. i know hard work is what i need to come out with a good result. so if you are out there thinking you are not good enough, that's not true, just keep studying make the brilliant student your friends, attend lectures regularly, perform well in your test and assignment and finally dont wait until you see the time table for exam before you start reading.
God bless you all

Congrats. It's not easy, everyone now sees you as a scholar.
Do well in upholding that title.

I didn't study hard like you except during exam but I graduated with 2:1. Studying hard is not the problem, the problem is are you understanding what you are reading?

2.7 gp in my first year after my hard work. all the night classes and late night studying.

Decided to work smarter grin

No more night classes/tutorials
No more reading late night
No more copying notes
No more wasting my time on lectures I can't even hear what the lecturing is saying

Rather, I study during the day at school library then sleep Wella at night
Photocopying notes from a babe with 4.6 gp
Instead of boring general lectures with thousands of students, use that time to chit chat with MARLIANS
Do a little internet research with my phone at night instead of decieving myself that am studying
My 2nd yr gp skyrocketed to 4.2.

Baba God should me in this 3rd year, cos I wan start partying
