The hypocrite in men will not let them see. BlueAngel444 quit seeing things where it doesn't exist. Money is an evidence of what you have at home. During the old days, when people practiced buying and selling, it used to be: A man who has excess yam but wants tomatoes, he carries his yam and exchanges it with one who has excess tomatoes. When properties that could not be carried are being used for trade, it became difficult. Hence the invention of money. Money is the physical possession of wealth. |

Omar09: I saw nothing of it at first till I realized certain things, for I wasn't looking for that verse I was led by the Holy Spirit to it, for in fact I had set out to study something else. 1. The term understanding as used by John, is the same as used by Jesus as it refers to scriptures: so therefore John was probably referring to something in the scriptures. 2. The only other mention of 666 is to a particular amount of gold Solomon receives just before his heart drifts from God. That amount wasn't just a calculation because it left out the yearly contributions of other kings. Both authors of Kings and Chronicles write it as 666. Of course John knew anyone with an understanding of scripture would know what he is referring to. Yes the Pharisees wanted to try Jesus, but on what basis. They said to Jesus neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. what does this statement really mean Let's look at the events and parables written just before the inquiry about Money that brings these men to Jesus. Now in Mark 12 and Luke 20 we that after Jesus had thrown out the money changers He had his authority questioned then he told them a parable about men who sought to kill the rightful owner in order to inherit his property and the last verse says, For they knew that the parable was spoken against them In fact Matthew adds another parable before their enquiry, the wedding banquet, how those who had wealth ignored the call of God to face their business. The gospel tells us that these men loved money. Jesus's true teaching didn't place value on money nor on those who had it like they did Jesus didn't change the word, He said to them give to the world system what belong to them which agrees with what was written earlier of what He said do not lay(store) up treasures for yourselves Jesus's teaching was a danger to their system and still is. If God's kingdom doesn't work with money then all they are doing and storing up is a waste. Jesus's answer to their question shows the relationship between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of men. Maybe they thought God wants their money as tax, after all tax honors the king. Can you live a life completely dependent on what God provides and not what is in an account. Can we distribute what we earn to those who are in need, instead of storing them up... What is the use of gold, do people eat it, why store it up, what is the value for gold that make people worship it. By the way I never said anything about tax, I only quoted the words written in Matthew. Jesus taught that we should not store up money. 1 Like |

BlueAngel444: So it's ok to use the mark of the beast? LMFAO! When will you realise these are all fables? You know why you cannot confidently discard using all these things? It's because the reasonable part of your brain is rebelling against the insanity. |

LordReed:lol, that actually made me laugh. So y are they fables? |
Re: 666 Is Money? by LordReed(m): 2:59pm On Feb 09, 2020 |
BlueAngel444: It should, religions are a joke given our current state of enlightenment. Bogeymen with supernatural powers are from a time we did not have as much knowledge of our world as we do now. Anybody talking about how a world leader will come do all these things is not paying attention to the real world and is instead burying his head in a fable. I can bet you all you have that till you die you will not see this come to be. Even the provenance of the book you take this from is shaky. The identity of the author is in doubt because he just names himself John, like that's not very helpful, as you know there were many John's. Also the text borrows imagery heavily from the hebrew scriptures which may indicate this person was merely attempting to modernize or christianise some of the hebrew scripture prophecies. And from all indication this is what you are attempting to do as well, make the current events fit into your idea of the passages. As you will no doubt see this will happen with varying levels of success. Some parts will make sense, others will be utterly insane. This is the nature of fables, they were never meant to be an accurate reflection of reality, merely a means of transmitting ideas. |

LordReed:prophets use a lot of figure of speech that doesn't mean it isn't related to reality. Like you stated, same way messages have been passed using images in other cultures as well. Even imagination requires inspiration. Anyway have you never experienced anything beyond your reasoning before? Or would you even admit it? |
Re: 666 Is Money? by LordReed(m): 3:19pm On Feb 10, 2020 |
BlueAngel444: How do you mean "beyond your reasoning"? Do you mean stuff I can't explain? Of course I have but it only shows I am not a repository of all knowledge. Do you think it means something else? |

Luke 12:27 "Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. Jesus wore simple clothes Jesus did not marry while Solomon married hundreds of wives Jesus was poor while Solomon was wealthy Yet Jesus is greater than Solomon Lk. 11:31 - "The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here." LordReed:Money in itself isn't the issue, love of money is. Just like pursuit of fame, power and sensual pleasures, all these are the mark of the beast. I don't expect you to understand this unless you have spiritual insight. 2 Likes |

Re: 666 Is Money? by EMILO2STAY(m): 8:54am On Feb 12, 2020 |
BlueAngel444:the mark of the beast has got to do with money big time but it might not be money exactly. The bible says the mark of the beast are three, which are the mark, the name and the number of his name. Today we know the number but we do not know the name or what exactly the mark is but i believe that when the time comes all shall be revealed. When that time comes then any one who does not have one of these three would not have access to money. Which is why the bible says that "" he who does not have the mark or the name or the number of his name shall not be able to buy or sell." So we can see that the mark of the beast has to do with money but it is not Particular money. 1 Like |

Luke 16 11. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 14. The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus. 15. He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight. |

BlueAngel444:what is the line between storing money and wisely saving ?? |
Re: 666 Is Money? by BlueAngel444: 9:09am On Feb 16, 2020 |
teemotee:The purpose is what defines the wisdom, whether it is the wisdom of God or the wisdom of men. Storing money is pilling it up, to feel good about oneself, to feel secure, to develop a sense of control of either people or situations. One of the reasons money is stored in gold is because of it's lasting value. Could be stored for generations, to create a lasting name and to be remembered. Wisely saving, is for a purpose. One can save to pay a bill, save to build a home, save to provide for a need(s). Wise saving comes with responsibilities that are not selfish. There is a difference between pilling up money for ourselves and meeting daily needs. Jesus said do not worry, trust in God but people worry about tomorrow, pile up money to secure their futures and thereby trusting in that money for such safety. Jesus is telling us to live daily like Yahweh told the people of Israel to gather daily, except on the Sabbath day. When Joseph stored food (which is different from money) he did it because he knew they would be famine for seven years. He did it to save lives and not for personal power. When the Israelites were permitted to store manna on the 6th day was so they would have food on the 7th day when they won't be working. Jesus is telling us that our rest is not in this world but in God's kingdom. When people work to find rest on earth, or try to save their lives they lose it and don't find it, that rest, that peace of mind. For example, earning a million per month Storing is keeping it all for oneself, that is storing in the bank with no purpose but to feel wealthy and powerful. The truth be told money makes men feel powerful. Wise saving, is properly distribution of that wealth to needed channels. Like Jesus taught, save up wealth where moth and rust can't eat it up nor thieves steal, that is by giving to those in need, to those who belong to the kingdom of God, to those who can't reward us. By saving the lives of men at the expense and sacrifice of storing up wealth for ourselves. Once our bills and needs are meet, there are those who need to start up businesses or have immediate health related needs we could meet. Instead of buying houses we won't live in or cars we hardly drive. Instead of buying many clothes that we still get worn out or torn that cost a month's meal for orphans. Adding value to people lives instead of looking valuable. We celebrate those who have money not necessarily those who give money. Those who give the world calls fools but those who keep the world calls wise. For the purpose why we earn is to replenish. 5 Likes 2 Shares |
