No movie in the history of the universe had the same effect of endgame.

Nothing really creative about parasite.Parasite winning just confirms what people have been saying that the academy has a bias towards films that talk about class struggle , racism , slavery , Holocaust.

And also the fact that black panther and Spiderman were adapted from comics isn't a reason why they shouldn't win an oscar.

Lord of the rings that was adapted from a book has won best picture.

If being adapted wasn't right for the category , those movies would never have been nominated in the first place.
How many times has Lord of the Rings been adapted? How times has Black panther or even Spiderman been adapted? Not withstanding the Parasite is still a superior movie to both Endgame stood a better chance than both movies to Parasite and even endgame fell short..movie is so much much more, not just the story, the way the story is been told and how the characters interpret the story and the message it is trying to pass.

I get it, some movie to me sometimes will be damned boring and make absolute no sense to me at times and i will wonder why people like them, but after every rewatch things start to unravel. So many people share this view of yours that parasite isn't worth the hype but i bet you will find more people who will praise the movie to the high heavens for the gem it is for years to come.

Oscar bias... probably...i for one hav been paying less and less attention to oscar as the year goes by..i mean they gave Cate Blanchett an oscar for Blue Jasmine? That made absolutely zero sense to me...But for this year THEY GOT IT right. The only issue i had was Renée Zellweger as best actress for "Judy"? I will have to see that properly to judge...but the other categories was spot on and the awards were kinda spread round... Parasite, Marriage Story, Jojo Rabbit, Joker, Ford vs Ferrari, once upon a time in Hollywood...This were the best movies of 2019.

Best picture award goes to the movie with the best directing ,best story line , best acting , best visuals ,etc.

It's just like the award for overall best student.

In this case over all best film

So with that above listed, you strongly believe Endgame really deserved the win. For starters, it wasn't even nominated, that's to say that it didn't really tick all the required boxes.

With all you've said, you're obviously a Fanboy, well it's no crime being one though. Just try to appreciate a good motion picture for what it is, & leave sentiments asides. Endgame was a very good movie, but no, it doesn't deserve a nomination, talk more of that award.
And as for Far From Home getting nominated for best picture.............like seriously? Menh, you're damn funny. No offense sire, but that's a big joke.

Guy, e go hard o. The only series that has been able to hold me down is Alias and Boondocks. As for GOT, i guess I have issues with fantasy and prolonged exposure to violence

I am not a marvel fanboy. Lmao where did I say I strongly felt endgame deserved a win. I'm not hulk666 .

I just felt that if black panther was nominated for best picture last year , then why do you feel that a whole endgame getting nominated for best picture is a joke ?

So if you were amongst the nominating committee, you'd unflinchingly give Far From Home a spot on the best picture category?.

So you're now putting Black Panther & Far From Home on the same pedestal.

I was never really hyped about that Black Panther, but from the message the flick was trying to pass across, comparing & equating it to what Far From Home has to offer......... that right there would be deemed as a taboo my good man.

I'm curious what message was black panther trying to pass across.

Pls tell me what I don't know

What special message ?

Is it because Wakanda is based in Africa ?

Black panther and Spiderman far from home are solidly on the same level.

Is it not the same black panther that all of us watched again ?

Themes in Spiderman far away from home

Deception

Responsibility

Legacy

Vengeance

The butterfly effect.

Questions on what is real and not ?

Mentor-protege relationship

Conflicting identities

Living up to expectations.

Everybody and their dog can make out a theme from something else. That's why you see some white people will see a triangle painting and say it speaks to them.

The simple truth is that Marvel movies don't have profound messages. They are just films to seat back and enjoy.

If black panther had a message , it would be obvious to pretty much everybody and you wouldn't have had to search the internet for the write up you told me to read.

I asked you what special message black panther has and you posted themes.

Heck even Amina the sugar girl has themes.

Black panther was simply a movie to sit back and enjoy just like most mcu movies.

No deep message

Hulk616 is actually right.

I just rewatched endgame this afternoon and endgame was really robbed.

Infact I strongly think that the movie is so good that a new category ought to be created in its honour.

The category should be named "Yeye comic fanboys movie of the year" and hulk616 and urahara should receive it on marvel behalf.

Nonsense and far from home.

For those of you saying Black Panther was nominated for the Best Picture a year ago, you do know that it only got nominated out of sentiments and political bias.

If The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises could be sacrilegiously ignored by The Academy those years for Best Picture, there is absolutely no way Black Panther stood a chance with it's Average Storyline. These Movies were what paved the way for comic book Movies today to become relevant in Awards season as the Oscars adjusted a bit after the Backlash on ignoring The Dark Knight for Best Picture.

It was merely just nominated to appreciate how Iconic the movie was and it's portrayal of the African Race as a unique, smart and technological advanced People. It was MORE of Racial card Politics than TRULY artistic GENIUS.

"Africa has its own Superhero Now" .

Ma , may God bless you , that's the point I have been trying to make.

There is absolutely nothing special about Black panther . No deep message , nothing at all , it was purely on the same level as far from home.

None of them deserve to be nominated for best picture

If Spiderman far from home was about a Kenyan or Nigerian super hero , I can bet that it would have been nominated to.

Because of politics

If black panther had nothing to do with Africa, it would never have even smelt a nomination.
