I used to be a Buharist but I doubt if I can continue to support an insensitive Government like this one we have in Nigeria at the moment.

Buhari came like someone with a good plan for the Country but he got confused and all his ambitions were trampled on by the cabals
It is obvious that Buhari is not the one controlling his Govt.

He is a tribal and religious bigot
Some of his policies are good but he does not know how to go about them or perhaps the cabals are sabotaging his efforts

Nigeria security architecture has failed us, people are being killed everyday, I am not a war monger but if these atrocities continue I think another civil war is inevitable.

Sowore is a disgrace to the ijaw nation.
An ijaw amn who betrayed his fellow ijaw man.
Apart from his boldness which comes grom his ijaw blood,he behaves and act most times like a yoruba mudslim.

I can now understand reason behind your mockery on nairaland.
Is this all rubbish you could say about sowore and revolutionary movement.
It is only God that knows how long you have gone affecting those gullible Nigerians negatively with this your senseless claim.

You must be suffering from either
Religion bigotry or
Ethnicity biased.

There have been prepoderance of opinion on the call for revolution depending on the side of political divide you belong to.
I was even shocked and disappointed to see eminent lawyers and respected Nigerians backing Sowore's call for a revolution.
I had to doube check the dictionary to see again the meaning of revolution.
According to Wikipedia In political science, a revolution(Latin: revolutio, "a turn around" is a fundamental and relatively sudden change in political power and political organization which occurs when the population revolts against the government, typically due to perceived oppression (political, social, economic) or political incompetence.

So in essence, Sowore was calling for a forceful change of government and what exactly was he expecting?
That the presidency will sit down and watch him or was he expecting a love letter from the presidency or security agencies.
Any responsible government anywhere in the world will not fold its hands and watch its stay in power threatened.

I don't know why Nigerians are like this. I am not in support of this Sowore guy cuz I think his actions are birth out of frustration from losing the presidential election.

This guy contested in the last presidential election and lost bitterly. Then he organized a campaign against the government by calling for 'revolutio'- even the US government won't take that as liberal as they are.

I am not in support of the Nigerian system coz I know all na fraud but u can't call for such a protest after losing an election. why didn't u arrange d protest b4 the election? why did he partake in d election in d first place if u want revolution or does it mean he lacks d the meaning of revolution?

If he had protested against election malpractices or bad governance or corruption; I will b 100% supporting him but protesting against a government u partook in its election by calling for revolution, I see it as an act of anarchy- calling for the citizens to topple the government which I see as a treasonous offense.
you simply uninformed about the revolution now protest called by SOWORE....do well to get your self informed on their activities...no where in their demands was change of government mentioned...but a protest to demand for good governance, end corruption and demand for respect for rule of law.

Told you folks who were looking for a messiah that no matter how good the breed of corn it can never prosper planted in a swamp. There is nothing any President can do to make Nigeria of today better than the Nigeria of last week. The structure of this country has set her on a course of decline that no rudder can counter. Nigeria is basically unworkable. This is not how nations operate.

Said it countless times. At the end of this regime all we will get are a few roads and bridges built here and there, nothing more. Nothing fundamental can be put into play that will radically alter the course of the average Nigerian from his level of despondency. Nothing fundamental to show for his electoral investment.

@, if you didn't know the meaning of revolution and have to consult Wikipedia ,then you're not in.a position to counsel Sowore on his pursuit. Besides, I think you've not come to political maturation in your consciousness.
Revolution is the disciplining of history that every erring nation,by default, goes through when they've slided into a culture and season of anomie.Starting from July 14,1789,the French Revolution, started and gave birth to the secular state,of which you're now a beneficiary.
The US,Iran ,Britain South Africa, Sudan,Zimbabwe,Burkina Faso and latterly,Algeria, have all experienced revolutions at one stage or another in their chequered histories.Revolutions change the order of things in society. When the ruling class sit tight and cling ruthlessly to the seat of power, it's revolutions that resolve this oppressive contradiction.
We have a missing and irresponsible generation, imbued with the seed of unknown fear, who just sit and fold their arms. They don't talk back to authorities; they don't speak the truth to power. Their quiescence is regrettable and embarrassing!!!
2011-2019 was the decade of revolutions. First ,with the Arab Spring that brought down the governments of Tunisia and Egypt. The flames were stoked last year and they spread beyond the Maghreb ,bringing down the governments of Algeria Bolivia and Iraq.
For social change to take place therefore, revolutions are necessary. They can be prevented ,but ultimately, they birth.
