Why the whole of six months? When we are still making babies, my wife won't stay for more than 6 weeks at home, she will go back to her business within 3-6 weeks. No healthy woman will stay at home for 3 months doing nothing.

3 months of maternity leave and 3 months of half working days ie 9am - 2pm should be a better option.

If you want to pleased some lazy women, they will ask for 1yr 6months of leave and will resume work with another 3 months pregnancy
You must be wicked, going back to work/shop when her body has not healed properly, personally i can't stay ahome comfortablly for 3 good months talk more of 6,good one Mr Gov.

Good. Women really needed much time to take care of this infants before leaving them at the mercies of Nannies, housemaids who are most time devil's incarnates at the absence of the parents of these kids. Other states should follow up.
