She retires by 2022, a year ahead of the present CJN who will leave by 2023.

Olukayode Ariwoola is likely to take over if hierarchy is followed.

Justice Mary Odili leaves in 2022, before the present tenure expires. The next CJN after the incumbent ,is Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun ,from Lagos state, who assumes the position in 2023 and stays for 8 years, till 2031,if the present hierarchy is maintained.

she's too in the news for partisan reasons to be allowed to get up there. Those who get there, if you check very well, maintain low profile before they are appointed, unlike mary.

He didn't jettison it.

Just that Onnoghen had something on him!

Hierarchy isn't Constitutional but conventional.

Buhari will leave by 2023.....The present CJN will leave by 31st December 2023; so he will still oversee the 2023 elections petitions, if God grants us all life.

Write what you know
Buhari don’t have the power to jettison ranking. The NJC recommends to him base on hierarchy while he appoints

Which NJC , you want to change the story so soon? We are all withness to how Buhari illegally removed a sitting CJN and swore in Tanko on the same day without any recourse to the NJCall because he wanted to rig elections ..don't come here and try to change the story please

Why would you blame her?

Wike's wife is in the High Court in Rivers State.
What about Nwosu-Iheme..Presiding JCA of Awka Appellate?

She was in the judiciary before she married.
What about Justice Nyako, or the Appeal Court President.

Let's leave this woman alone please. She was one of the judges that upheld Okororcha's elections in 2011.
Nobody said anything then.

Simply politics.

The politicians can throw money and infiltrate the NJC, or might have their reservations like the late Justice Dalhatu Adamu.
