Hensben you dodged my previous question. If Lazio finish above inter Milan has Conte failed for the season?
Thank God you used the word IF. You know that ain’t happening.

Who is 2nd currently in seria a? Is Conte doing anything special this season? If Lazio finishes above inter then Conte has failed this season.

WTF are you on about You keep rambling on without meaning? I don't know where you saw me blame Lampard for yesterdays loss. I have been solidly behind Lampard for eons because I understand his situation for this season. I am extremely patient with him unlike you that doesn't know where to stand as usual, today you are drumming support for him, tomorrow, you are laying curses on him.
You keep going around in circles, not knowing when or where to stop. Please start using your brain intuitively.

You are an idiot and no hiding place for you as we could see through your asinine agenda.

You first claimed Lampard's early success was down to Sarri's framework and no biggie. When we shot that move down, you came up with that stupid Giroud agenda.

You blamed Lampard for not using Giroud in place of Tammy. When Lampard used him against West ham and he cost us the match, you went mute, later giving foolish excuses. You waited for the slump you prayed for in December, you didnt get it.

When Chelsea couldnt fall out of first 4 as you stupidly predicted in December you went into your shell, only to be dropping posts sparsely here and there.

Yesterday was the day you foolishly decided to come out in your colours to attack my belief in Lampard doing well (making first 4) with this team. Despite knowing all the major factors warring against the team you foolishly took a dive.

The difference between me and you is, i use my brain while you dont. Criticising Lampard for failing to strenghten in January, doesnt mean he is not better than your Sarri, who is now struggling in Italy. Not buying players wasnt even only Lampard's fault, so i will still support him, despite having his own flaws.

Nobody expected Lampard to win the league, some of us believed he could make first 4, while you were expecting a big slump. Even after yesterday's loss, which was obvious to the blind why it happened, Chelsea are still in 4th.

You can go and jump into a river for my supporting Lampard and relegating your Sarri. I won't even call it one spanner lost.

Are you meaning to tell me that all our losses this season is down to the refs inefficiency and ineptitude?? Common, that's being plain disingenuous.
The team has been very inconsistent this season.

We are not supposed to expect anything tangible from the team this season, we should actually hope for the best but expect the worse.

This is a dubious angle to come from - We all know what you mean by 'I told you so'

This has ALWAYS been your angle:

donjazet:

Airmark, I don't think we've seen enough games yet to judge Lampard's football.

Clearly we can see its attack-oriented, however we can't tell his preferred formation or starting eleven or his preferred tactical subs so it's fair to assume that aspects of the game play we see now are factors INHERITED from Sarri's system.

donjazet:

I'm not saying that everything we've seen so far is down to Sarri's system but the basics have aided Lampard tremendously in impacting his system.

donjazet:

The core difference between sarri and Lampard's gameplay is that the former was obsessed with possession while the later is more direct but that directness, while it has led us to create lots of chances, it opens the game up for both teams and that is why our defense has been shambolic thus far.

donjazet:

It seems when you hear sarri's name, you block your brain from analyzing and processing information correctly.
Abeg stop to dey quote me on top this sarri matter.

I said he went on ABOUT a 10 game winning streak, MEANING it might have been close to that. We even topped table at a point.

Your focus has always been than Lampard is a worse manager than Sarri - That's the 'I told you so'. That's why you're always keen to say you warned us.

Otherwise what else are you warning us about? Our poor attackers? Our wack defenders? Our mumu keeper? Or has there been anybody here that claimed we have to personnel to contest for a title.

The only thing most of us have been optimistic about, is the pattern of play under Lamps....and it irks you because you want to remind us about how great Sarri was

donjazet:

the way you dey misyarn and obsess over this sarri matter just dey vex me.
Any match we win, The first thing you go comment na "thank God the chain smoker is gone" as though he never achieved any thing good here and was a terrible person or the worst manager we have ever had and that is blatantly wrong.

You misyarn abjectly when you say that has ALWAYS been my point.

I pointed out previously that coaches like kloop, pochetino and sarri are coaches who needed time to fully implement their pattern and strategy, and I still stand on the fact that sarri's input in his one year here helped Lampard in getting those initial results.

I DIDN'T BASH LAMPARD. I just didn't subscribe to the notion that we needed to downgrade a former manager to uplift the new one. I like them both and stated that clearly.
You obviously didn't grasp my point clearly all these while.

Many people were carried away when we were winning and I tried telling them to tamper their optimism because we had seen this so many times. I advocated for patience till after the festive fixtures before knowing the state of the team.

Cc A40. This is why I told you Liverpool are benefitting from the weakest epl league season in a long time. Chelsea have lost 7 matches since the back end of November yet they have never dropped from the top 4 during that time Frame. Chelsea have no business being in the top 4.
Lol how are they benefitting? They lead the league by almost 30 points.

Even if the league was supposedly stronger how does that diminish their advantage? At worst the race will be tighter. Don't water down the efforts of a team that has lost just once in their past 64 games in the league
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by donjazet(m): 3:40pm On Feb 18, 2020
nihilist, I have been very consistent on this board in my appeal for patience, don't twist or misinterpret my messages and stance.

donjazet:

I share that hope with you that things turn out fine for us, that we win trophies while playing beautiful football with our brilliant young boys who can carry us on that winning platform for a decade, however while we hope for this, there is no problem in advocating for caution.

Failure is always a possibility, especially now, with all the odds stacked against us, it will be a miracle for us to succeed immediately, so once again there is no fault in advocating for patience and caution. People are already beginning to think we can win the league, that's a very low possibility right now.
I don't know why he would call it a "negative energy", we must try to distinguish emotion from reality.

donjazet:

I'm looking forward to our matches against the top teams during the festive period, those results I believe will determine our fate this season and give an accurate view of the team's overall growth.

My greatest joy this season however has been the faltering of our opponents this season, man-u and Tottenham are not looking like top 4 teams at the moment and that plays fully to our advantage.
So far as they continue in their misery, we have no problem so Long may it continue.

donjazet:

I'm sorry if my cautious optimism or objectivity seems like a "negative energy" to you but as an old Chelsea fan, I'm tired of the constant cycle of fire and hire system at Chelsea.
This is not the first time a new manager starts relatively well and everybody is happy only for a slump to begin and we succumb to pressure by sacking him.

Although this time feels different, with our legend as a coach and an exciting group of our young players, one is enamoured with what he sees and tempted to begin to dream big. But with our numerous past experiences you never can tell what happens when we hit a rough patch.
Chelsea's board has always been unpredictable. So forgive me for not basking in the euphoria of the moment like you. I'm just being cautiously optimistic.

donjazet:
We seem to all forget something very important here.

We're just 2 games into Lampard's tenure and the two opponents we have faced are teams who played very open games, teams who did not just sit back, soak up pressure and hit on the counter, these were big teams who came out to attack there by giving our attackers spaces to run into.

Cast your minds back to previous seasons, we started very well under Sarri, I remember when we played arsenal at home, how everyone raved about the potentials of greatness and bright future the team had. We even went on a decent run of wins.

Our problems appeared when we encountered teams who simply sat back leaving no space behind for attackers to run into.

Don't also forget that AVB'S tenure and scholari's tenure were off to a flying start before the implosions.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have good expectations, but if history is a good indicator, we MUST be cautiously optimistic, and remember that this team has a lot of limitations and inhibitions.

Lampard is fairly new to management, his experience as a manager is very low, before Guardiola, zidane or OGS took reins at their clubs, they already had managerial experiences at various levels. Our defense is as porous and inexperienced as ever.

We have to be cautious in our expectations, only time will tell.

So it's only you that saw the state of the team?

Or do you not see on this thread how we're all shouting that we need a new:

1. Kepa
2. Centre Back
3. Right Back
4. Right Winger
5. Striker

So if we're not optimistic about the playing staff, what is there to caution us about?

Of course, the only thing to caution us about is being optimistic about Lampard.

You even said yourself how that you actually get annoyed that we praise Lampard when we win.

So why are you trying to distance yourself from your own position now?

Bro we all know you've been sucking the ghost of Sarri's pënis hard since Lampard's appointment - stop trying to change mouth now.

What were the expectations held by many fans fans at the beginning of the season, even at the winning streak phase that juxtapose has been clamouring for us to lower?

1. Top four finish in the league by many, others setting theirs at top six, few top 10.

2. Qualification from group stage in the UCL.

One expectation has been delivered, we are still in race for the other, so I don't get where the "I TOLD YOU SO" mumu talk is coming from.

The league is basically at the weakest it has been in ages. If PSG did the same thing In France nobody will care because of the league same with what Liverpool is doing at the moment. They are just a good side taking advantage of the weakness of the league.

Go and check the thread right around summer, and many people didn't even believe we would make top 6.

I remember someone actually saying that as long as we didn't get relegated, it was fine.

What was there to be optimistic about? Shït players, Hazard just left, transfer ban, an inexperienced manager hired from the championship.

Nobody was optimistic.

It was when donjazet came with the argument that Sarri laid foundation for Lampard, and duly got shut down, that the seeds of 'i told you so' were sown...

Same thing. If Psg did exactly what Liverpool are doing at the moment they will be ridiculed and the league be called a farmers league. Everyone knows the league is at the weakest it has ever been in while this season. Watch Liverpool play and you will see nothing special/spectacular in their brand of football that warrants them having 20+ point gap.
