When you look at the league table today you have:

Liverpool in first as the runway leaders - they've simply been the best team in the country

Next you City and Leicester, with only one point between them. They are the next best two clubs in the country right now.

Then you have the rest.

The points gap between 3rd and 4th is the same points gap between 4th and 14th

There are only 11 points between 4th place and 14th. Thats 11 clubs who could theoretically finish in 4th place by the end of the season - That's crazy competitive.

For context difference between 4th and 11th last season was 21 points.

In 17/18, the difference between 4th and 11th was 31 points, same as 16/17

If your argument is that Liverpool are winning because league competition is poor, don't forget that they are the current European and Club world champions.

They will downgrade the team and make statements that they are only good because of no competition and the rest teams are useless. Now that Liverpool are playing garbage teams weak in and weak out they suddenly care about the entire structure of the league.

Folks, before now, the premise upon which Raumdeuter used to rate a league as the best was the performance of their representatives in Europe but now the EPL is doing well, the goal post has been shifted.

The UCL and UEL was contested by EPL teams last season and now, all the EPL representatives have make it to the round of 16 in the UCL just as Manchester United, Wolves and Arsenal are doing great in the Europa league but no, the EPL must be garbage because of what is happening in their local league...Europe is no longer the standard...What a time to be alive...Amala has suffered.
