I have been reading reviews about realme X for over 1 week now and seems convinced letme try thier product I have been using xiaomi phones for over 3years now. Is anyone here using realme X? What I saw on Aliexpress I chatted the seller and they said its Chinese version with Google apps. Pls to those using thier phones what are the major cons and pro of both Chinese version and global version.

Well the difference is usually the network bands i.e there are some bands which are not usually present on the Chinese band . So if your network providers is using those bands, then no 4g for u . Also the other difference is no Google apps on Chinese version. So you have to install manually. And lastly, the languages supported on Chinese versions are few (tho I don't see these as a problem sha).

All in all , it's always better that you go for the global version.

Realme 5pro price is now high on AE. I hope this is because of higher demand on this particular device.

Do you know the bands on Chinese version. If only it has band 3 I'm covered all the network providers around my area use LTE BAND 3. So no cause for alarm and once I travel out I will change my phone but till then.

Yes it has band 3 .. The only band not present is band 20 I think

I think 5 pro has always been kinda high that's y most ppp usually go for the realme q (Chinese variant of realme 5 pro)...
'cause the monetary diff is kinda high (maybe 10k) with only very minor let back in getting the q....
but I'd advice ppl to get the 5 pro if they ain't concerned about the money shaa.. nothing better than getting a global version

I think you'd only have issue with MTN LTE band shaa... but the 3g (H+) is pretty fast.

MTN is not a problem also, they also support band 3 in some places just like glo. They now all support band 3.

realme lacks sellers here on nairaland shaa...
I think more of these sellers should be selling it. it'll be easier to purchase. the phone brand is gradually making waves shaa

For me, I'll go for the Realme 5 Pro. Realme 5 Pro is using a higher processor, it has quad camera, dedicated card slot, higher battery capacity. While you can go for the Realme X if you are a fan of Amoled Screen which it uses an under display fingerprint, if you also don't care about a dedicated memory card slot and the dual camera.

true I've wanted to get the Realme x now without going through AliExpress but I couldn't find a seller, I think the 6/64 variant is on jumia now though

Yes, sorry I forgot to mention that too. Though I personally don't like phones with pop up camera.

I have a small issue that started lately. Anytime is unlock my phone when data is on, chrome pops up with strange websites loading. Dunno what caused it.
