Why are you taking panadol over another person"s matter. Ok, you did not hear that APC only filed response 24hts to hearinh and Gabi omly got served in court? What APC lawyers did was to get PDP to rrspond to their process without reading what was filed. By the way, they got thiers on 5th and responded on 17th. |

Ihedioha's people are just full of emotional baggage. They are neither smart nor objective and it's becoming tiring. |

Of course, he can ask for more time in other to counter what you intend bringing. It's obvious, it's a clear case of "party in power". |

What is the essence of this thread? What does it seek to achieve Are you a lawyer or someone seeking to inflame the polity![]() Allow the legal processes to end and if you do not understand any you ask questions Not assume conclusions on issues you do not fully understand A review in itself is unusual by the SC and this is mostly informed out of the controversial nature of their judgement which they may have realized have entrenched precedents that would undermine our electoral processes. Let us assume their judgement stands. It means there is no need to vote as the courts can overule INEC on the number of accredited voters and award victory to even the last placed candidate if he can be able to concoct witnesses claiming he won any cancelled area with any figure he so claimed even if doing so means the numbers would far exceed the total registered voters there This is a shamble and everyone knows this. In good conscience they all know what happened there. Same way I do not believe in their ruling on Bayelsa. Truncating the will of the electorates due to the faults of one of the candidates seems abnormal and abhorrent. One would have expected a re run at worst. I can understand that the Deputy Gov elect forged his certificates and should not therefore benefit from his criminality. I can understand the argument that some voters may have voted the winner because of their love for the deputy who is now disqualified. The proper thing here is a re run These two judgments do not grow our nascent democracy but take us several years backwards. They need to be reviewed and whatever time it takes those aggrieved to make convincing arguments to reverse these anomalies are in order |

*20 GOOD REASONS WHY SUPREME COURT WILL REVERSE THE JUDGMENT OF IMO STATE.* By Cyril Aririguzo, KSM 1. The Supreme Court as the apex court in Nigeria is bound by law, to reverse an obvious glaring error arising from forgery and 419 documentation in it's custody. 2. The court is aware of the consequences of leaving an indelible bad Judgement on it's neck as future case study. 3. Generality of Nigerians and those in diaspora are already crying foul and mounting serious pressure on the Supreme Court to do the right thing. 4. The International Communities are interested to see how the Supreme Court of Nigerian will promote rule of law by writing it's name in the annals of world history as the true promoter of democracy in Africa. 5. Other African countries who are learning from Nigeria political experiment are equally watching and I think the Court would not want to set up a bad precedence but rather exonorate itself from international ridicules. 6. INEC is denying knowledge of the 388 wards fake result sheets with is having more voters than number of registered voters. 7. The Supreme Court will now be thorough by going through every minute details of what gave rise to such a controversial judgement which include, the role the policeman involved, signatures, stamps used in perfecting the forgery. 8. The Supreme Court knows it doesn't allocate votes in any election and will be contradicting itself with this case for double standard. More so, when Governor Ihedioha is still leading with 43 votes with all that was added as votes in error for Uzodinma. 9. INEC is honourably in defense of it's constitutional role as an electoral umpire whose decision on the matter is germane for all clarifications. A policeman report cannot supercede that of INEC in electoral dispute. 10. Economically, the case is a setback to Nigeria and discouragement to foreign investment. So many investors are not willing to invest in a turbulent economy created by the case in Imo State. 11. The Supreme Court Judgement has created lots of confusion, lack of faith in the judiciary and the 7 Justices of Supreme already know what is at stake and wouldn't not want to be part of judgment that is without human conscience. 12. Imo people voted en mass for Governor Ihedioha and are witnesses to his good governance and for the Supreme Court to terminate such abruptly is an unholy force majeure, abberation and biased Judgement that does no one good. All the Supreme Court Justices already know this and they must surely reverse the case with honour. 13. A minority Judgement cannot stand a majority Judgement in any court of law talk-less of a Supreme Court. Ihedioha won in majority and that is his merit on the matter. 14. Uzodinma is not the APC flag-bearer in the 2019 governorship election courtesy of the 20 December, 2019 Supreme Court Judgement as already delivered. 15. Uche Nwosu is the authentic flag-bearer of APC in the said election as ruled in the 20 December, 2019. The case here is clear to all asundry. The Judiciary, legislature and INEC are in agreement to this Judgement. 16. The mathematical additions in the acclaimed 388 wards as votes for Uzodinma were not properly calculated and it did not tally with the total which showed errors. This is why the review will favour Governor Ihedioha. Also there is every indication that it was forged and it is assumed as a crime done in a hurry. The 7 Justices of the Supreme Court knows it is unjust and not tenable in any court of law not to talk of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. 17. Incredibly, Uzodinma had to manufacture votes from the blues believing he will force it on INEC but it was rejected and later turn around to persuade our Honourable Justices of Supreme court and Nigerians to believe him. Nigeria has come of age to believe such nonsense. Supreme court will reverse the judgement on Tuesday 18, February, 2020 on the merit of the case before it. 18. The 7 Justices of the Supreme Court are honourab |

You guys don't seem be serious o. Is it now a crime to plead for more time in order to bring more evidence? If it's a crime, the supreme court would have struck out their plea.So what's there to be discussed OP? Or don't you have a meaningful topic? |

kahal29:You came with a nice topic, but your biased mindedness filled with pride, arrogance and daftness made the topic a case of ridicule. So senior advocates of Nigeria are now audio lawyers to u?.... smh mixing poverty with pride is like a worm eating u from inside. Back to the topic, I now believe Ihedioha has gotten himself good hands. The previous guys overlooked some documents Uzodimma's lawyers tendered only to be taken unawares at the apex court. So if u are smart u will knw supreme Court has accepted the miscarriage of judgement and willing to re-litigate under the guise of review. Educated people use diplomacy to approach sensitive issues.

ladyn4real:Your number one reason is the reason they cannot reverse the judgement cos you have to go through a fresh trial to prove beyond reasonable doubt that those results are forgeries and the supreme court is not a court of first instance. |

Bros you are really intelligent. Op made a mess of himself with his biased stance. Thank God you were able to discover how prejudiced he was in his post. The Supreme Court knew it goofed in its verdict and would like to correct itself now. Had it been there was no case, they would have dismissed it yesterday. Munzy14: |

Munzy14:Don't confuse yourself. The Supreme Court has not accepted anything. Hence, the case is not under review yet rather it is the application for review that the Supreme Court is set to hear on March 2nd. It is only when the application is heard and granted that the judgment can be reviewed. If they refuse the application WHICH I KNOW THEY WOULD then that's the end of the matter. |
