The first 50 minutes were classic Atalanta that I have watched this season. Their initial intensity caught Valencia off guard. There was a period where Atalanta was entering the Valencia final third at will but their final balls was lacking. It was also stupid for Valencia to go to Italy and play a open game. Not many teams can beat Atalanta in an end-to-end match. Atalanta thrive when given space in the opponent's half.

Now, let us take the season conte won the league with Chelsea for example.

Honestly the matches I have seen of Atalanta they go everywhere with the same attacking mindset so we should be expecting the same approach in the 2nd leg. it will be long before seria a can get back to its 80s/90s standard as you mentioned because of lack of funds and also the lack of genuine world class players amongst different teams.

It was obvious we never rated him good enough for the club long term plans so we just wanted to get profit out from him. 12million plus all the loan fees over the years for a player with 0 app for the club is pretty good business.
