lol.. your ideology about domain is weak bro. You can make money from any sector, including selling garri. What matter if your perception...

There are people who do not even engage in domain outbound and still do as much as 10-20k USD per month in sales and domain is capital intensive to get to that level where you control as much as 1000-5000 domains.

And there is nothing like passive income. It does not exist! work work work work till you die.. if there was, billionaires in US dollars would have stopped working but they know this. You can only reduce the amount of work you do through leverages because sustaining wealth is harder than making money, but you do not stop working.

Yes, developing domains into websites enhances its value but thinking you will stop working after setting up the website is just a pipe dream. The owner of NaijaLoaded for instance does crazy numbers but he works hard every year to command those figures, EVEN yesterday, he mentioned he pays as much as 1.5M monthly to staff, he pays 2M monthly for server and some other miscellaneous.

Anyway, to each his own. I just wanted to correct the notion that domain does not pay again because that is what drew me, even when you can see the other domain thread getting sales. There are guys who doe even $2k per month in that thread. Are you aware that a lot of domains go unreported? I also have not even shared my domain sales for over 2 years now. Teaching and doing all these information marketing stuff is not really my thing, which is why this thread hasn't gotten much action.

I prefer being out there making the money than doing tutorials plus I have 3 businesses or start up right now that I am overseeing. One in education, one in power and the other in ecom.. The one in power took me over a year off domaining because of the challenges. You think you are an entrepreneur? Build one from scratch, you think you are brave, test your might offline. I love challenges and the past few years has made me respect all those Nigerians who built their businesses offline without depending on internet but by pure unadulterated grit and zeal.. plus i do not want to sacrifice my eyes from light rays from PC (this one of the reason I started adjusting)

The affiliate marketing you are talking about comes with its own bottleneck. Google can change algorithm and your site will stop ranking. My friend whose business model is dependent on flipping affiliate sites can share his woes and sorrows with you. Driving paid traffic to affiliate offers is capital intensive. Some affiliate offers do not allow incentives or paid traffic and so on. You probably thought I do not know these things, didn't you?

Have a nice bro.

Lol. You are agreeing with me while trying to disagree. The naijaloaded guy, how does he make his money?
I never said you get to stop working o. But I said, you still make money even during off hours, e.g while you sleep.
I know the weaknesses of affiliate marketing, almost anyone who can read an article knows that. But, who rejects the opportunity to make something extra?

money comes in different ways bro, just because you found one model being difficult does not mean there are no guys cashing in there.

check if it is available in dot Co. I personally don't like .com.ng. I would prefer .NG to .com.ng

Hello, it is not a get rich scheme bro. Hope you know?

The reason why I said you rather do web development and marketing rather than domain flipping:
Would you rather have a Facebook.com to sell or a bunch of unknown domains?
Do you know that you can sell (if at all) a thousand domains and you couldn't earn a million dollars, but if Mark sells Facebook today, he wouldn't get less than 10 billion dollars?

Why do you think that is?
I will tell you. He created value. Quite alright some domain flippers may say that they can create value by 'convincing' a prospective buyer, usually a business, to see the value in their domain names. Good luck with that. I am sure that Mark wouldn't even have to convince any Tom, Dick and Harry about the value of his own.

Besides, you get to create a business out of thin air if you can code, and your domain runs on autopilot, making money for you. Infact, the affiliate marketing aspect means that you get access to businesses of many companies around the world at any time or place. Imagine, you just woke up, and haven't brushed your teeth talk more of going out. You decided to log into your account and sitting right there is the money you made last night.

How sweet is that?
Lol

Re: My Domain Flipping Experience... Revealed by laura8: 8:02pm On Feb 21, 2020
2sexycom:
During sales of a domain name, there are two approaches involved.

You either reach out to the buyer or you wait for them to come for it. I have had the opportunity of experiencing both scenes but I will like to talk about the case of reaching out to buyer.

If you must make sale, then make sure you are contacting a major decision maker in order to get that $$$. Some times you could check the whois and not find any clues of the decision maker or owner of the domain name aside that of the website designer or admin.

This can serve as a major obstacle. If that happens, check on their website to see if you would find any clues. Sometimes when I check the whois and I see a name there, I dig further to ascertain whether the person's name there is the actual owner of the company and this has greatly helped me.

Once I know he/she is the owner of the website involved, all I do is use their name as subject of my messages in order to pull their attention to read what I have to say and I have had more open rates with this method.

following your thread well...
please what is the meaning of hand registered domain

Bro, I did and it was a pure waste of the whole funds invested and my time. Jeez, where do I start from?

Is it the forwarded whatsapp messages that when added together is less than 3 pages (I'm just tryna say on the side of caution by saying 3 pages);

of which a large chunk of the forwarded messages were generic rules out there like don't mix characters and numbers together, searching google with the domain keywords. The only unique info was the ED filter-like filters, seriously...............................................

Don't get me wrong! The length of an info can be less than half a page, but once a guarantee is made that it would deliver results, then it is worth the price tag placed on it.
Even despite his promises and quoted statement "Domaining is easy, only if you know what you I doing," I still lowered my expectations, fought hard, but it seemed as though I was just tryna catch the air with my hands.

You are way way better off reading through the thread and consulting with persons like this op who is real with you.

Take it easy domain business is a game of patience, the info that will hope beginner that I barely see is that most domainers sell less than 10 percentage of their domain yearly.
You have to build a portfolio first while you do that do massive outbound, if you can track your mail or test and see that it doesn't enter spam instead inbox.

I don't use any but snov/io was recommended.

What I do before sending outbound is to send to my other mails and see if it enter inbox or spam folder.
