What he implied is as easy as ABC ! Rechargeable fans mostly comes with 12v battery kit which have positive & negative polarity terminals as seen in my snapshot below. All you need to do is to locate battery box either at side of fan or its bottom depending on your fan make / model , add extra cord to positive"red" and negative "black" to a higher ahms 12v battery terminal.. You will get outstanding results or longer duration to be factual ..

Note: The external battery can be charged by an improvised battery charger or intelligent adapter kit ! Cheer's

This particular Sumec generator is a yellow tank generator but the colour of the one in your picture has almost turned white already and seeing that the cuberator has been replaced means there's something being managed here.
