Lagos is the only state that not useless in Nigeria. It's the only state that not useless like the rest of 35 states including seat of power.
Lagos is only state where you can dream big.
Lagos is only state that the Son Of Nobody Can Become Somebody .

We have 36 states in Nigeria only one state we can boast of the rest of 35 Including FTC are useless.
Tell me what your governor doing different to develop your state. Most them not even live in their respective state.
Before they finish their tenure they have already build mansion in Lagos and Abuja that's their retire home.

But when they die they would burial them in their village.

Lagos was developed with oil proceeds from the SS and SE without those states lagos would have been like any other state in the SW so op give those states their due respect.

People always forget that Lagos was once a Nigeria capital city for 31years, that's about 50% time duration of Nigeria history. Lagos benefitted so much from federal govt development plan, just as Abuja is today.

Secondly, Lagos strategic location bound by the Atlantic ocean, was a magnet for commerce and industry. Seaport, Refinery, Industries, manufacturing, etc

Thirdly, Lagos is leveraging on its huge population to become a business and service hub in Africa. Most international businesses and services berths first in Lagos before any other place.

Fourthly, security-wise, Lagos is fairly stable. The fall of Port Harcourt during militancy era become the benefit of Lagos. Most oil companies moved their operational head office to Lagos. When insecurity started in North, and subsequent bombing of UN office in Abuja, international conferences in oil and gas sector that used to hold in Abuja was moved to Lagos and since then has remained in Lagos.

I can go on and on...Lagos is simply a runaway leader in Nigeria, if not West Africa as a whole. The question is, other states how are they faring, or catching up, or getting worst? Many depends on monthly allocation for survival as internally there is no creativity move themselves up. That why restructuring will be the next Big thing in Nigeria.
