So personally there is no basis for comparison

how can lexus be higher than century naaa? For the toyota cars with manual windows, what exactly is your point, it is purely a low cost/budget economy. If mercedes makes a car in that same segment, such car wont even have a door.

When that said car U saw there stopped at Sagamu it was a member from here lejum3 from the Auto Section who drove all the way from Lagos to rescue me and my wife with help from Supper rescue also from the Auto section, so what do U mean by this is a faceless forum u cant expose yourself, are you Bill gates 1st SON?

That's the bone of contention
Toyota is doing well in all its segment both low cost and luxury version.

Lexus is doing very well globally

Example Lexus lx 570 and Mercedes G500 I have experienced both and there is no difference.
Even the Lexus picks up much faster in acceleration than the Mercedes if you check based on the performance angle

Yea Prado and Lexus GX470 share the same chasis and 90% of the drive train. However, the justification of Lexus being a luxury brand in the leagues of Benz is exactly what Benz does to their cars to make it luxury.

What are the things benz do, leather everywhere from seats to steering, dashboard to gear selector, expensive sound systems, new innovations, lane depart assist, infotainment screen, park assist, memory seats, you just continue to name it.

All these little things differentiate a luxury brand from an economy brand. That same difference is what puts a Prado and GX470 apart. The same thing that puts the GX 470 close to the ML class.

Sometimes the difference is as little as hand stitched leather!

when talking cars. There is strong argument for both mercedes and its toyota rival(lexus). With both producing equally good luxury cars.

Benz having the slight edge in brand prestige and Lexus having the overwhelming edge in reliability
