Nice drama but not very realistic. The first half was more interesting and engaging than the 2nd half. Uhm Jung oppa's acting was wow but I've never really been into him in romantic roles mainly because I don't think he's handsome and I'm very shallow

Fun fact : both mgy and yhh acted in mirror of the witch, although I don't think they were romantically linked in the drama (I didn't watch it, sageuk Eww)

We see a waltz dance class, college age students are practicing and a girl (mgy) is standing alone trying to call someone, apparently the number isn't responding but she pretends she's talking to someone and goes "OK, I've heard", she ends the call and mutters to herself "after all that practice", another student tells her to talk to their professor, she goes to meet her and tells her that her partner's bus broke down so he won't be able to make it, as she's speaking a boy(yhh) walks in and goes to the professor, the professor says "oh you don't have a partner too, why don't you pair up" mgy readily agrees but yhh goes "no, I think I have to drop the class", the professor says "yes, you're transferring right, you're a business major" he replies yes. The professor is checking her file to cancel his name but can't find it, he tells her he's from another school (while this is going on, mgy is looking him up and down), he leaves and mgy asks the professor what will happen to her, the professor tells her she'll have to take her exam next week with others but she can't get more than a B+, Mgy is alarmed, she runs to catch up with hyy and starts to question him, "what class is he?" "she's class of 09, is he an oppa or a chingu?" "what if he gets an F and fails to transfer?" he's like what?! She asks him to dance with her, she holds his hand and says please, he looks at her like she's raving mad, she says if he dances with her, she hesitates, smiles and says she'll date him(me: aigoo), he drops her hand and says he doesn't want to (me: aigoo lol) then walks out, she says to herself "he's so stuck up for someone from the countryside. He stops to look at her through the glass door (I'm not sure if he heard her or not) she gives him a" whatever biatch face" he gives her the same. A few days later, he's on the train talking to someone, he's saying if he fails this season he'll transfer next year, on another part of the train mgy is with a boy who's literally screaming at her saying he's dropping the class, yhh turns to watch them, she pleads with the boy saying who does she dance with then? She says if she gets an F, she won't get a scholarship and the dorm.. He says how is that his business? Does he have to keep up with her and her standards to date her. He calls her a fool. She holds his hand and says but she still likes him (me: face-palming), yhh is literally flabbergasted (as am I), the boy says she's being annoying (me: honestly), he says he's dropping the class and walks out of the train, she tries to follow him but hyy pulls her back, he let's go of her arms, clears his throat nervously, scratches his neck and says will you like to take the exam with me? She says no I'm fine, he says really he wants to take the exam, she says then dance alone, he says what? How can I dance the waltz by myself. The train shakes and she starts to fall, he catches her and they do that awkward staring at yourselves and slowly removing hands thing (me: rolls eyes but it is mad cute), she smiles and says "did you want to date me that badly" (me : aigoo cheeky), he smiles like i can't believe this chick.

They show them taking class together, dancing through various locations together (I guess they're dating now), under the cherry blossoms, on the road, they share a kiss (peck on the lips actually) under an umbrella (OK they are dating), they show them dancing as he goes for his military enlistment, dancing as he returns in an aquarium (I think), in a library and as graduates going to work by train.

We see them on their way to work, they board different trains so they just wave hi, apparently it's their 3000th day (*sigh*, wth). We see their work id's as they are in their different places of work, he's Gu gunhui, staff, sales. She's Kim min seon, intern. He's an overworked, underpaid intern at his office while she's an unappreciated, underpaid intern at hers, basically they are broke a**es.

During break, his boss asks him to tag along to a meeting, as they are eating, it is announced on the news that the Korean government is including 10 names to their list of unsatisfactory universities, they mention a name and everyone is like gunhui isn't that your school, his boss tells him to quit on time if he wants to quit that by next year his school value will drop even more (me: mtchewww these Koreans are insane) he nervously answers yes.

At her working place, they are also on break, she's discussing with her colleagues and she is advising one of them saying "all love comes to an end, frankly we only date because our genes require us to reproduce" she says it is even scientifically proven and tells the girl to break up, why is she dragging it. A team leader laughs and says wow min seon you must be really young, if you break up easily how is that love, she says"well I guess I don't know much because I'm young" another one tells her but you've been with your boyfriend for 8 years, didn't you break up and you're back together, she smiles and says yes, he couldn't let her go, another asks her if he's gotten a job, someone says they are from the same school and he's in public administration, the team lead says she hopes min seon gets the job cos she heard they are hiring only one intern as the company would be hiring more of contract staff.

Apparently the company Gu gunhui and his boss were coming to was min seon's, he doesn't want to come down from the car, the boss asks him why he doesn't like coming to this company and forces him out, he's carrying a box while his boss advises him to smile (I guess they're there for marketing), he keeps his face down whenever anyone passes cos he's ashamed (me: poor baby at least you have a job), his boss goes to beg people to listen to them, Minseon and her friends are passing, they see him and they say oh people must be here for sales, he faces the ground in embarrassment while she passes by like she doesn't know him, when others leave they look at each other and ignore each other, one in shame, one in anger, later she enters an elevator and he's there with 2 other girls who are gossiping, she goes closer to him, smiles at him and they start dancing in secret, in slo-mo in the elevator, the others don't notice and it's the cutest thing ever, the elevator reaches her stop, they stop dancing, she winks at him, he smiles, she steps out and a guy walks towards her bringing out something from his pocket to show her, the expression on gunhui's face changes to anger, he wants to stop the lift and confront the guy but he changes his mind and he and Minseon looks at each other sadly till the door closes

The guy shows Minseon a wedding iv, he asks her if she can make it this time, she says she doesn't know, he says she has to, he says by the way, the thing that happened between you and I, I hope you've forgotten it, she's like about what? What happened between them, the team leader comes in and says what's going on, she holds the guys arm, apparently she's the one he's getting married too, he says he's just giving Minseon some work.

We see her at an interview for a permanent position with 2 other interns, she's literally trying her best, the interview asks their thoughts on marriage, the other 2 say they think about it, Minseon trying to impress says she doesn't plan on getting married, they ask why? Is her boyfriend unable to? What if she gets pregnant? She must have sex with her boyfriend? Or maybe not? They laugh (me: eww) she says I'll erase the kid if that happens, they all get serious (lewl). They end the interview and say they'll get a call on Monday.

At the end of the day, she and her boyfriend meet up, she drags him to a fortune teller's place but he is not interested, the woman is telling fortunes for work and love, she was about to pick work but changes her mind and picks love (me: awwnnn), the fortune teller tells her she sees a sign of parting (me: nooooooooo).

She rushes out to meet him standing in front of an accessories store, she picks something and begs him to buy for her as it's their 3000th day, he says "no, sorry, let's go" (me: mtchewww). She runs to him, and locks her arms with his, she asks him how much is in their account that they should still have enough since it's just the 17th (me: wait! Y'all have a joint account *sigh*), he checks his phone and asks did she use their card, she says what does he mean, he should check the account well, he says she should forget it. He says he forgot his wallet at work, she says she too, things are tight for her, she asks so where should they go, he starts to suggest her place but says never mind (me: look at this broke children still thinking about motel sex), she gets angry and says did he rent her place, they go there everytime , he says well it doesn't work again, why did she move out, motels are more expensive (me: aigoo), she walks away angrily.

Next they are at the motel, he's out of the shower and sees her on the bed fiddling with his phone, he drags it from her and says he told her to forget it, she says but he's still doubting her, he says he just asked, she says what if she used it, is that something to get angry about, her phone rings, it's a call from her senior supervisor, she gets off the bed to answer the call, she's speaking to her boss and she tells him she's sorry the file is not with her, she ends the call and goes to sit on the bed, he asks her if she got rejected, she says no that the call was for another reason (it's obvious she lied) she stands up and says she wants to leave, he says let them just do it since they paid for a room, she's angry and says she doesn't want to. Next they are in a restaurant, her bare feet are on top of his shoes (cute), they are obviously mad at each other (lmao poverty will do that to you), she's talking random rubbish to clear the awkwardness and he's ignoring her, they start to argue over what they'll order (sigh), he takes his foot from under hers, hers are on the bare floor (awwnnn), he stands up to leave but she remains sitting and orders the food, he gets angry and walks out for a smoke, he's feeling bad and scolding himself and his temper. It starts to rain, he takes an umbrella to go meet her, she sees him, forms anger and starts walking home in the rain, he runs after her, catches up to her and she slaps him, she asks him why he didn't bring his wallet, is it so hard for him to spend money on her, he asks her if the other guy paid for the motels, she said she had the affair when they were broken up (me: ah no wonder, that colleague), how much longer will he hold that above her, he says oh so they didn't go to motels(me : meanie) she gets angry and says no she went, he says wow so is he her backup insurance, she says does he think he's worth insurance, he says then why is she with him, she says "out of pity" what about you, it's not like you're with me because you like me, he says am I nuts to like you? (me: aigoo what is doing this children, the funny thing is they're arguing but he's still holding umbrella over her head tsk tsk), he says this must be fun for her, tearing up his self esteem, she says she's just worried he'll be a loser for all of his life, they sha keep arguing yeye argument, he says she should stop blaming her family for her misfortune, she says she's better than him that blames his school, he says they should break up, she agrees(their faces tho, they look so sad), he throws the umbrella away enters a taxi and leaves her on the street.

In the taxi, he calls his mom and begs her to pay for the taxi fare, I think she scolds him about his job cos he gets angry and shouts at her that he can quit whenever he wants to and he won't ask her for anything. He starts to text minseon "actually I quit my job today, I wanted us both to get good jobs and..." his driver braked suddenly and he paused on sending the message,(me: oh so she failed an interview, he quit his job that's why they're this annoying)

A bus pulls up beside his taxi, minseon is in the bus, she's texting him "I'm sorry", "sorry" did you get home safe, I'll call you later, before she hit send a call comes in, I guess it's from her mom, she snaps that she'll call her later she has an important call to make, she says she doesn't plan to go home for chuseok, she'll stay in Seoul even if she's homeless afterall she never disturbs them for anything and they've never done anything for her, a message comes in her phone but she's still talking to her mom, she says if she doesn't get a job this year, she'll die. She checks the message, it's from gunhui "we, we're breaking up right" (me: sob), she replies "yeah" (me: sigh).

She's drinking with her office people, they are celebrating the person that passed the interview, she's drunk and asked her boss why she wasn't chosen, he said her answer to his last question was upsetting, she said well what did you expect me to do, he said winning other's favor is important, that skills can be learnt on the job, she gets up, staggers out drunk, comes back in and starts to drag the hair of the girl that won that she stole her job, they start fighting.

Later she's sitting outside the restaurant and the girl joins her, she says she's sure minseon only found out later that the guy she had an affair with was dating their sunbae, she said the sunbae must be abnormal getting married to a guy that cheated on her, minseon congratulates her on getting the job, she asks if this is her way of not apologizing, and asks if she wants an apology instead, minseon says yes and walks home. There's different scenes of them basically going through a depressing life *the life of the unemployed in s.k actually makes Nigeria seem like heaven*. Anyway after a while they both get invited for an interview at another company (p.s: gunhui still goes about telling people he's in an 8 year relationship so he can't date anyone new *sigh*).

Minseon has a colleague in the New company who tells her, there's slot for 2 new employees. Minseon and gunhui meet at the interview but ignore each other, they both pass the first phase. They want to call each other but resist the temptation, they meet again on the day of the final interview, they are worried about each other cos love but they are also wary of each other cos competition (poor babies).

She's on her way home when she notices him working part time at a store, she goes in and his boss is scolding him for studying for interviews at work, he fires him and minseon starts to scold him "why is he there, doesn't he have self esteem, why didn't he tell her things were bad with him". She asks if he got any news from his interviews, he asks why, does she want to congratulate him or brag about herself, she says she's sure she failed cos she hasn't heard anything. He walks out and she runs after him, she asks him if he can really break up with her (me: lmao what is this), he says yes, she says she can't, she starts crying and says she feels like a monster, she says she's never liked or pitied anyone in her life but his misfortune hurts her, that she pretends with her friends but he's the only one she can't pretend to, that that means she loves him truly right? He starts crying too, he says he never liked the thought of her doing better than him and that's why he ran away from her, he says he thought if he got a job things would go back to how it was (me: classic patriarchal bull) they both cry (me: tsk tsk), she says will they make it next year, that if they don't make it should they just die together (aigoo). He wants to hug her when their phones both ring, they both passed their interview.

They are under the covers at a motel room (wink... I'm sorry lol) he's asking if they should reveal their relationship to their colleagues when they start working, she says they should keep it a secret, what if they break up, he teases her that didn't she say she can't break up with him, she teases back by saying is he sure he won't be the one to change his mind, they bicker and promise to never break up or get a divorce (me: awwnnn).

He takes her to a fancy restaurant to celebrate, her feet are on his as usual (cute cute), she says his money will finish before he gets his first paycheck, they're teasing and being cute with each other when their phone rings, it's from the company telling them about the 3rd interview, they're confused cos they thought they had gotten the job. They learn there's only one opening available, aunty removed her feet from uncle's own immediately (me : heartbreak), apparently some oga at the top put in his candidate so instead of 2 slots only 1 is available, she asks him if he will go for the interview, they start arguing over who will step down for who, he wants the job, she also wants it. As they are fighting, the colleague she had an affair with passes by with his fiancee, geonhui is pissed, colleague asks her if she now has a job, to save face she says yes, geonhui is pissed and hurt. She walks out, he runs after her, she tells him to go for the interview, she'll also go and she'll do her best, he says they'll get married so he should get the job & he'll take care of her till she gets a job (me: biatch if you don't shut up dia), she says what if they break up (me: good question), he says why will they break up, he loves her, she says he's so pathetic, he asks if she can really live without him, she calls him a bastard and walks away.

She spends the whole night crying. The next day, they are both going for the interview, standing on the same train but not talking to each other, she's feeling drowsy and ill cos she's stressed, he's looking at her with worry, he tries to get her an empty seat but an old woman takes it, they get to the office and they're on the staircase, she is still dizzy and he decides to face his business when he hears the sound of someone falling and people calling for ambulance, she's the one that fell, he wants to go help but he decides this is a chance for him so he ignores her and goes for the interview (me: OMG), it's not easy for him tho, he kept resisting the urge to call her, he is waiting with the interviewers, they say if it's 1 o'clock and the 2nd contestant doesn't come they'll start with him.

At exactly 1, she walks in and apologizes, oh boy, the look on his face, I can't even describe it, let's just say GUILT was written all over his face, he couldn't even look at her till the end of the interview, he realized her face and shirt was covered in blood, he's so shocked and she just ignored him cos she knew he knew she was injured.

He's home, drunk, sad and sleeping, his phone rings but he doesn't answer. At her home, her phone rings, they ask her if she's gotten any other offer, she says no, they tell her to resume, she's excited and calls her mom to give her the good news.

3 years later, she's at her job, she runs into Gu geonhui and she's shocked, he smiles at her and she smiles back, he gives her his complimentary card and introduces himself, he teases her about how she's now a city lady and asks how she's been, she says she's been great, she loves her job, she asks about him, he says he got a job not too long after that incident and he's doing great, they talk about how rent is expensive and blah blah blah, they look at each other and I want to die cos their eyes literally tells stories, suddenly they hear the waltz they first danced to, she looks at him sadly and says she decided to forget about what happened, he's like what happened, she seems hurt that he doesn't remember, then he says "oh that, it was a long time ago" she fake laughs and goes "yeah, we might have broken up anyway" now it's his turn to look sad, he says let's get dinner sometime, or a drink if you want to, or even a wedding, she laughs and says "invite an ex boyfriend to a wedding" no thank you. They both say they have to go, he promises to call her sometime, they say goodbye. They both go to the restroom in their various offices and cry their eyes out while looking at each other's complimentary card.

We see a flashback of them after he agreed to be her dance partner in the train, they run to the class but the professor says she's given them too many chances and they are late for the exam, they plead and prepare to dance, she asks "without music?". Gunhui starts to hum,minseon smiles and they start to dance, the teacher turns on the music for them and they dance. The End.

I would rate this 7/10

WHAT I LIKED
1. The cast. Obviously

2. I loved how realistic the story was. I read a lot of people saying oh they are 2 selfish people who do not love each other and could not sacrifice for each other, I say bull, 2 young adults, facing societal pressure, parental pressure, peer pressure in a country where the economy is twisted and if you don't go to Harvard or have a 1st class you're basically shi!t, they'll now have opportunity to get a job but they'll let it go cos of love? again I say bull, if they were husband and wife I can even understand but boyfriend and girlfriend that can break up anytime pffttt they both did the right thing not stepping down for each other.(although gunhui not helping minseon when she fell was just demonic)

3. The 1st ending : I liked that they both went to cry, it made me believe they genuinely loved each other and it gives me hope that they could get back together since they both have jobs and they're both older and wiser.

4. The 2nd ending : I liked the flashback to the beginning of their relationship, it really tugged at my heartstrings.

P.s: It wasn't explicit but I think that geonhui got the job but refused to pick his call due to guilt and that is why minseon was given the job as the 2nd choice. Las Las the moral of the story is poverty is a bi!tch and like the Nigerian poet David Adeleke said "love e sweet, when money enter love sweeter"

Sometimes you have to admit that you were not in your right mind when you had certain opinions. I mean, I watched famous by Taemin (and yes I've been obsessed with the song ever since) and I really opened my smelling mouth to say that I didn't like the choreography.
