Kamorta class ASW corvette , last of the 4 units delivered.

Why so low numbers ordered , max 8 units of any class must be ordered to maximize economics of scale

Depending on customer requirements it can be modified to equip brahmos or its smaller version with inclined launchers. Will require modification of superstructure.

Current version with IN doesn't have the requirement. It is for ASW only

How does the Kamorta compare with the Saryu? On my fav web pricelist its 55mn USD to the latters 100mn USD. That seems too low to me.

Edit: My bad! Link here

I see only the now retired SoKor Donghae is in the same price range of 60 mn USD though its much smaller st only 76 m and isn't fitted for any Ash role.

Kamorta is a corvette with a displacement of 3500 ton.

Saryu is a OPV with a displacement of 2230 ton.

Cannot compare 2 different classes of ships.

End user requirements dictates choice of ship.

And similarly end user requirements dictates outfitting of ships be it sensors , be it weapons etc. Ship will out fitted as per the customer requirements.

Latest iteration of ALFA-S ( Air Launched Flexible Asset - Swarm ) drone from Newspace and HAL.

Swarms of ALFA-S is meant to be carried and deployed by fighter aircrafts via underwing cannister pods.

The drones are intended to be fully networked with each other through electronic data-links. Using their infrared and electro-optical sensors, they detect targets such as SAM missile units, enemy radars and aircraft on the ground. Each drone is designed to be smart enough to ‘learn’ about what it detects before targets are assigned to individual drones.
