Hi all, for some years now i experience shortness of breath that happens when standing or walking. This has gotten worse overtime and i also get shortness of breath when lying on my back (i find it hard to even breathe at all)

I also feel bloated after eating and it gets worse (in any position except sleeping by my side)

I have done an ECG and Chest X Ray and results came out fine.

Please doctors in the house what could be the cause? It is now affecting me badly..

Just to add, I normally have symptoms of low blood pressure especially when standing (dizziness, nausea, blurry vision, feeling of fainting, etc) but my BP has been tested when standing and it was okay.

Anxiety can cause this too. Do you have other symptoms of neurosis apart from tight chest feeling? Or you are ever been diagnosed with anxiety?

Happened to a friend mum, doctors couldn't even detect d problem, he had to make google research n follow the instructions, his mum that couldn't take two steps safely now jumps around while on meds.. I dont want to give names of drugs used as I'm nt a licenced doctor but I'll advice u mzke google research on d symptoms n medications

The symptoms I mentioned plus the OP's are most often pointers to a heart problem. In my case, I was diagnosed with IHD after an ECG test. I don't know about the OP's case, and since he said he already did an ECG test, and nothing was discovered, then I guess it's nothing too serious. I still suggest he sees another doctor. If you know anyone experiencing the same thing, tell them not to hesitate to tell a doctor about it.

The closest symptoms to my condition was orthostatic hypotention or Postural Orthostatic Tarchcardia Syndrome (POTS) but doctor said i don't have this because my BP did not significantly drop upon Standing

I had a condition in mind to type but when I later read that you were on bronchodilators for a week and your breathing improved, why don't you gather these new informations and go to another hospital, A clinical pharmacologist should be able to help you out.

I'm not sure this is the case because my doctor prescribed bronchodilators and i could breath well for the period of treatment. She also said the drug will help remove any unnecessary fluid causing a blockage (e.g pleural effusion)

Anway after completing the drugs i still struggle to breath when standing/walking, its better when I sit down and much more better when i lie down (by my side).

I'm suspecting a Paralyzed Diaphragm.. Does anyone know about this? Doctors in the house help please.
