This picture is a bad market. The picture only describes an 'at ease' standing or opening legs like olosho, not an 'at alert' standing which is what we are talking about, when measuring height anywhere in the world. So it fails.

There's a reason we are always asked to put our legs together during height measurement. Once you do it, the measurement you get won't change when you are standing on a leg with no bending of any part of the body. You can ask anyone around with straight legs to follow that.
