I was saying this to someone and he is clamoring I am bias. The guy was literally calling Lampard a bias coach for playing English guys, saying lampard should be sacked
I asked him a simple question, if Lampard don’t play these guys then who did he want Lampard to field considering he could not buy anybody in the transfer window plus he is 4th above Man U who spent millions and Tottenham who had an experienced coach and good players compare to Chelsea, nigga was saying I am only defending Lampard because he was one of our own
I just dey look the guy
BlueMann:
Exactly. For all the talk about creativity,we are actually making enough chances to win games. Our main "on-the-pitch" problems are finishing and defending. You have to be strong in at least one,but we're shaky in both departments. Throw in the rash injuries, lack of a single signing and Lampards inexperience, then its really a miracle we're still 4th. What gives me joy is knowing that we really can't be worse than dis. We're only going to get better. cool
Thats why I keep preaching to us fans to calm down and give Lamps time. For all his flaws,he hasn't exactly had favorable conditions to work with.

Ibime:
You are wrong bro. Standing on one leg can increase your height. I agree with Elruditor on this one. He is an expert in tallness.

Most people standing on 2 legs will keep them slightly apart for balance and to give their balls space to breathe. . . . creating an acute angle between their two feet and the ground.

Whereas standing on one leg keeps you straight, forming a perfect right angle between your feet and the ground.

A shorter adjacent side will still reach the same height as a longer hypotenuse.

In the picture below, line b is shorter than the two outside lines 13 but achieves the same height. Although exaggerated, it shows why standing on one leg makes you taller than two legs slightly akimbo. Pythagoras can tell you the rest.

Even me self just tried what Ibime said and found a little increase but not much.

At ease I had a height balance, I took off one leg and noticed an increase.

This thing is very easy na, everybody should try it out

This is one of those stupid beliefs that won't make people learn. How many people were against me on Morata? What happened?

You do wetin? grin Go and ask educated person to use stadiometer to conduct it for you while you are at 'alert' position, not at 'ease' and do also for a leg and check the result.

i had to understand what Ibime was explaining when I tried it. If you stand against a wall with one leg you won’t notice it, till you stand freely at ease and raise a leg.

I didn't know you had done the stuff when i posted that you couldnt do it well. I know your mental capability won't handle the simplest of tasks.

I had done it more than 7 times the way ibime asked me to do it, following rules of height measurement and no fvcking difference in my height.

Greatihex also confirmed it. It's a stupid belief from eruditor, that falls flat on its face when practically analysed.

Irrational behavior is one of the most difficult behaviors to deal with. When someone is being irrational , they don't listen to reason, logic, or even common sense.

Sir Airmak the L is yours but dont accept that L yet please.you guys should extend this height argument to next month so that we would fully enjoy this egbon raumdeuter vs hazard strike at least for few weeks.
From what I've read from last page to your post, Airmark is not wrong. See, what Airmark is saying is that when your height is measured in a STRAIGHT POSITION (which is the official and universally accepted way), raising one leg won't add or even reduce your height. No expert takes your height measurement while you're standing at akimbo or with some angles between your legs.

When your two legs are closed and are straight and your height is taken, raising one leg up doesn't alter it. It's when you're at akimbo like the diagram Ibime posted, that your height increases when you stand on one leg coz you'd be forced to stand erect. It's just common sense.

To confirm this, walk into a hospital near you and tell them you want to measure your height. The expert will tell you to stand beside the measuring equipment. Now, consciously part your legs a bit and you'd see that the next thing he or she would tell you is to close your legs together and face front without looking down. These measures are to eliminate any factor that will reduce your actual height. After taking your height measurement, raise one leg up and no inch will be added to the new measurement.

The pictures of the players posted while they were standing at ease won't tell you the full picture unless the disparity in their heights are much.

Whether Giroud is taller than Cahill is none of my business. I didn't confirm that either. I'm only saying when your height is measured in a straight position with your legs clasped together, raising one leg up won't another inch to your position. That's my stance.

Try it agn.... A change will occur, human body is built to be balance with both legs, tempering with the equilibrium, by raising one leg, will immediately Lead to slight change in height.

We are all saying the same thing but to be sure, two feet down can never achieve the same perfectness of right-angle as one foot down, although you may not be able to note the difference without accurate measuring tools.

If your leg is exactly 1 metre long from your groin to heel, every degree you deviate from forming a perfect right angle with the ground will remove 1.7 centimeters from your height (sine of 1 degree multiplied by 1 metre).

But don't forget though that the argument started from a picture comparing two players - one standing on one leg, and the other standing at ease.

In summary, closing your feet helps to get closer to a right angle but not as perfectly as standing on one foot. Both arguing parties have come to the same conclusion but na stronghead make argument continue when they both agree.

So, assuming you're 150cm, on raising your one leg, you'd become 151cm or what?

Why don't you walk into a hospital and measure your height when you're standing straight and when you've raised your leg, let's see the number of inches raising your leg added to your height then.

The change is minimal.
It's something that s simple.. Pure physics

That's the mistake you are making, ..when measuring height, after 150cm is not 151cm, you still have 150.1cm, 150.2cm etc

It's safe to say, the added height of standing on one leg is insignificant and won't make worthy difference.

But in the picture the original argument stemmed from the difference would be significant to the naked eye.

If this was a scientific paper, Elruditor would win the argument without doubt because he will always be able to prove his case is greater than even if it is just 2 millimeters difference.

There is no deviation if you do it rightly.

If you want to confirm it practically. First measure when your two legs are closed and you follow all rules of height measurement. Then in that same perfect position just lift the second leg off the ground, without moving any other part of the body. It's still same measurement you will get. No deviation will occur becuase closing your legs have made your upper body to be on a straight line with the lower part and you are still maintaining that line even when the 2nd leg is off the ground.
