Hello everyone, Happy Sunday to you’ll

I opened this thread to ask about our experience been in debt and how we overcame it?

My name is Emma, I’m 23 years old, a 500level student of FUNAAB, also a forex trader.
it all happened last year July 2019. Series of Forex investment platforms started making waves in school where you invest and a guaranteed 20%ROI would be paid to you after a month or two weeks depending on the investment platform you sign up with.

It had been going on for months successfully, which I was aware of. Lots of testimonies here and there.
After about 3months, I decided that this whole scheme was getting credible as the day goes by and I must also take advantage of the opportunity and also invest my own money.
Which I did, after a month I received my money without stories or delays
I was impressed and I decided to reinvest and add more money to continue the whole process again. Fortunately enough it went fine, I received my capital and ROI without delay. I got excited and decided to share the good news with my family and friends when I went home for my Christmas holidays.

When I got home, I discussed with my mom and I was able to convince her to give it a try cause I did and it worked pretty fine.
She was impressed and I gave her all the assurance. She told me she would get back to me on it in the coming days.
I also spoke with my friends and colleagues at home about it and I said they can give it a try
Which they did eventually.

Fast forward to January 2020
Everything was going on well with the investment and all.
I decided to start taking investment from people at large, I made a graphic poster and uploaded it on my WhatsApp status and shared with my other friends at large and I told them about the opportunity.
They were also impressed ( but the mistake I made which I’m still regretting till now is that I gave them all the assurance and I told them I was directly involved with the trading and their money was safe )

The whole scheme was going on well, many people bringing in money everyday to be invested, on their due date both their capital and ROI was sent to each and every investors under my management without hiccups, depending on how they wanted it.
I received a total of 15million naira during this scheme, in and out. Excluding my personal money.

Unfortunately for me on the 3rd of February 2020, the unexpected happened and the whole investment organization crashed due to the fact that the CEO decided to abscond with the money (a thread about it was created about it weeks ago, I would share the link below if you missed it)

Now I’m facing the biggest challenge of my life, I’m owing a total of 11million naira as of now, the culprit has been arrested but refused to release the money and confess to the allegations laid against him.

The moment all this happened, I called all my investors under me to explain what happened, but to no avail, they all turned against me and said it’s not their concern, and all they want is their money back.
I plead with them to give me enough time to come up with a solution, but they refused.
I was mobbed and beaten by two of my investors a week ago, they deceived me into thinking they wanted a peace talk and wanted a solution to the problem as well. They even went as far as recording me on video stating when I was gonna give them their money, they also collected my parents number. I was able to plea with them to release me, ever since then I have been having series of thoughts to kill myself but I know that’s not my portion cause I have a glorious destiny and I matter to the world. I have been in huge panic for the past four weeks, I don’t even feed well.

Right now, I’m facing a life and death situation that’s why I’m calling the attention of my able Nigerians to advise me on what to do and assist me in anyway you all can
God bless you all
I’d be waiting for your responses, advices, feedbacks and donations to help me out of this mess.

A CLOSED MOUTH is a CLOSED DESTINY
I have decided to voice out and ask for help, I don’t want to commit suicide or be killed
Please help me brothers and sisters

You cant hire someone else to do your push ups for you, according to your signature. Why then did you allow people to hire you to take huge risks like this for them? 11 million is huge, so I wonder how you plan to repay it with this our harsh economy. This will serve as a lesson to Nigerians that see monkey business as a good business.

Knowledge is power.

Even the holy books says my people perish due to lack of knowledge.

ponzi, MLMs, crytocurrency, forex etc or investments that are not regulated by the Security and Exchange Commision are very risky investments that only spare cash should go into. Even some of those regulated by SEC still bear risks.

MMM came around 2016 and people had their hands burnt. Some people said if another ponzi comes out , Nigerians will be involved. Now I fully concur.

This is a lesson for the ones that want to learn.

Serves you right!

You people do not ever listen to advise cos you just want to become rich overnight.

Forex trading and crypto are largely glorified scams which are not backed by basic economic principles!

I blame the foolish people who entrusted such large amounts to a student who has no asset.

OP, when you graduate you look for a job then start paying the debt gradually...you must pay cos it was your greed that got you in this mess.

Foolish Nigerians...for the umpteenth time :-

There is no free money anywhere in the world so stop patronising get-rich-quick schemes!

Even if you get a job in an oil company as a newbie there is no way you can pay the money in just 6 months.

If I were one of your depositors I will just shoot you dead because the money is gone for good! angry

23 years -----11 million

these is huge sum of money almost 31,000$

If your story is true, and you have proofs of transaction, i will advice you to appeal the governor of your state, the might not give you all but there influence will go a long way to help you, if any of your family members are rich you gat contact them also.

You are too young to face such debts and i am sure you have no asset that can help out, well you can seek help from your family also, it is time for them to sell of 1 or 2 lands or valuable asset.

if any of the above works for you then Thank GOD....

and never in your life try to do you are 100% sure or come through me, it is better you tell them and if they like they use there own personal funds to invest all by themselves, also don't always have a sugary mouth, tell them both the bad and good side and state out your facts clearly

I pray God mercy and Grace locates you, and please remove the thought of suicide, dont even make it an option.

What will be will be, with time this too will fade away don't forget nothing/no problem last forever , so no go take your life ni

Keep appealing to them. Keep giving them assurance that you will pay back. Let them know the magnitude of what you are owing and where the money went. If any of them have influence that could help you to get some of the money from the fraudster please appeal to them to provide it.

Profile those that invested with you. There will be some that are reasonable, and those unreasonable. Please be careful around the unreasonable ones.

You have to involve your family early enough. Trust me you can't handle this alone.

Next time don't go into business you don't understand.

The lord will see you through in Jesus Christ name amen.

Please don't be involved in crime in a bid to pay back quickly.

I don't even know where to start from. But first, be strong.
I faced that last year too... I lost a lot of money, both mine, a friend's own, my clients own running into almost 2m too. I'm not even talking about my own money. I almost had a heartache too. But what I did first was have a friend around me alway. He helped me cheer up in the midst of the whole chaos and made me stay positive. He wasn't judgemental and diswayed me from any suicidal thought.

Next, I had a discussion with my friend, I told her how sorry I was to have brought her into the investment. I told her I only meant good for her and at the end do you know she wiped off my debt?. I'm talking of over 600k.

She also promised to assist me pay up my client's money. We are yet to raise the complete money but we've raised some considerable amount and as God may have it, there has been no pressure. Prayer helped.

But we're able to raise the money due to the nature of our jobs. In your case, you're in school so you can't raise that money to pay up. What you'd do is to pray first, then talk to the very understanding persons (if possible the ones with higher stakes) , maybe carrying them along on the situation of things might help, then follow up on the case, that's how you can pay up.

Learn your lesson. Move on.

Please don’t ever consider suicide.
Las las you will be alright.

I was in this kind of shit in 2018.
Just like in your case, greed led me into debt.
I took a debt of 2m to pay back N3.2m

It was supposed to be for a working investment that would pay me 3.6m monthly. The stupid guys behind the whole thing are Mike Eke and Comedian MC Mbakara( very stupid and selfish human being) who denied and betrayed Mike after the whole thing went south but went about enjoying the loot he made through the IML investment he introduced to the members of the cooperative, where we got no kobo.
You can search for Micheno Cooperative fraud of 2018. A total of 27B was lost by investors.

Note:
The guys claimed they were operating a cooperative society and people joined thinking it was actually a cooperative for real.
Mike Eke was the president and Mbakara was his VP. (God punish this Mbakara 20m times).

Well I lost a total of 3.2m because that was the total I paid back to the finance house.

It was a real struggle for me.
It was like hell on earth.
A very tough time in deed.
I was paying 224k monthly.

But las las I paid up in 1 year 3 months.

I bounced back and am doing well now.

Note:
I was able to repay because I earn through the work I do. But I must admit it was a very terrible time.

Thanks to God who gave me grace to pull through and not to commit suicide because I thought of it. I even fell sick as in really sick.
Not forgetting my wife who stood by me all through the ordeal.
Encouraging me and ensuring the house expense was brought really low.
God bless you sweet.

Bro you can do it. Keep your head up. Ok.
But it’s very important to ask for help from people close to you. In my own opinion, I might be wrong though. You can hardly find significant financial help on a faceless forum like this.
Focus more on offline help.

Receive Grace.

I think they were investing the money in Quibitech, as soon Quibit crashed, they stopped paying. Anything platform and ROI is scam, only CFX is still hanging around, i dont know how they are managing to do that but will possibly exit one day. If they cross 3yrs then that's world record and will replace banks. Addy is dead and gone, they only promised to pay back capital to reduce tension.
