nihilistjnr:The thing is there’s no cure for now and if it keeps spreading most health infrastructure will likely break down. That’s where the concern is. If it becomes widespread like it’s going currently, people will die from illness that they should normally recover from because there won’t be enough infrastructure to treat them. |

Monkeyprick:English boys are not to be trusted so building your team around them will make your club average. Sign foreign quality players and leave some English players due to FA quotas. Btw, we don’t need Sancho again. Give Willian the new contract until we find proper replacement for him. I’m still angry about that CHO deal. I mean how can you hold your parental club to ransom simply because you played good in few games and got offer from Bayern. |

Godx:Thing is, the USA women team have a point. They're the best female team in the world and are followed just as massively, if not more than the male team, in a country where 'soccer' is largely seen as a female sport as opposed to more 'manly' games like their brainless brand of 'football', basketball and even Hockey. They are much more successful than the men's team too, and their following means they make money via ticket sales etc. They have a point. But as a generalisation in the world, female football just doesn't attract as much a following as male, so it cannot work elsewhere. Especially in Europe, South America and Africa. |

nihilistjnr:It is because of its combination of mortality and infectivity. Data on it is still evolving but it appears to have a much lower mortality rate compared to SARS but significantly a much higher transmission rate. A disease that spreads that quickly but has a much higher potential to kill than the common flu is a major threat. |

raumdeuter:sanusi's removal is one of the best thing that happened to this country so far this year. Sanusi is a two faced, hypocritical, lying son of a bitch. Infact I will vote for ganduje for president if he can hang that scum and send him to hell. |

Unlimited22:No I disagree. The men bring In more revenue despite the women being more successful. It's not a gender issue. Men sport generates more money, therefore they get paid more. |

nihilistjnr:Things are moving Mad out here. The Private School my Boss sends His kids too has been closed as a precaution because a student fell sick. By extension my Boss has been told to self isolate for the time being. My colleagues have also noticed a significant drop in the number of passengers on the tubes and trains. You can now get seats on the tube/trains during rush hour. The Panic is real! |

nihilistjnr:Bros it's not mortality rate matter, it's about availability of ICU beds for ventilation. 10% of patients in Italy needed ICU while 20% in China needed ventilation. Without this ventilation, Mortality rate would be much higher, eg Iran was approaching almost 10%. NHS is already at 80% ICU capacity. Imagine 10million people catch the virus, it would be a catastrophe. Even in Italy, where they ventilated 60+ year olds, they said after 2 weeks, Under-45s started presenting for ventilation in large numbers after exhausting their physiological capacity to fight the virus themselves. Then consider that at certain ages and with certain health conditions like COPD, HBP, Cardiac problems, it is almost certainly fatal without ventilation. This is not a lottery virus..if you fall in those categories, your own done be without serious intervention, therefore those sectors of the population will drive Government response. We cannot ventilate everyone, so as numbers expand, this will get worse. I just signed off on buying 4 Hazmat type suits for one of our Hospitals at £1k each. That's £4k. The filters are £100 each and can only be used once per shift. To treat one patient for two weeks for 4 people (2 nurses, House Officer and Consultant), we had to buy 112 filters. So that is £11k of filters for one patient plus £4k of suits. Now imagine 1 million people have this thing, there would be serious problem. I think it's the other way, and Governments are doing well to control the panic sef. This has the potential to bring serious societal change eg. prisons will be abandoned (already happened in Iran with all low level prisoners released, and in Italy where there have been constant prison riots resulting in drafting of the army to control). Who wants to work in a prison at this point, to sacrifice their health for prisoners? As things go along, you will be seeing Government and Health professionals making decisions on who and who cannot receive treatment. Just as Govt will not dedicate resources to prisoners, you will start to see decisions being made on certain groups of people eg by age, immigration status etc. That's without going into economic impact, supply chain disruptions, mortgages and loans on hold or defaulting, impact on company earnings and subsequently on pensions etc. We just have to hope for a cure or vaccine at this stage. Who I pity na USA where there is no Govt control over their Health Sector where Hospitals are owned by Shareholders. They will not be able to give a coordinated response eg they have tested 10 times less patients than Britain and have double the cases. All testing is done by private Hospitals and requires payment. By the end of this Covid-19, we may see popular call for social Healthcare in USA etc. |

Ravioli:This sounds familiar? Okay I remember Jose Mourinho claims many Sevilla players would get into in his Manchester United team https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-united-news-jose-mourinho-rant-press-conference-sevilla-a8260281.html One of the thing that gives me joy in football is seeing what Mourinho has become with many of those who touted him as the special one now backtracking and hiding |

spillo1:They have coped multiple times without Kane and their best run in the CL was without Kane. They told us Mourinho is a coach who can adapt unlike Pep but now na excuses we dey hear |

sleekdot:LMFAO.....No body cares about last season fluck run to the champions final. The fact on ground is Mourinho was winning matches and performing well untill he lost 2 of his best attackers who have contributed to over 50% of Spurs goals this season. It's not like he has a full squad and was underperforming. Your agenda is bullshit. |

spillo1:Pochetinno didnt have his full squad to perform the miracles he did, Pep didnt have KdB for most of last season either The fact on the ground is a coach who was fabled to have the ability to adapt to less than ideal situation is failing and coming up with excuses |

sleekdot:LMFAO.......Their is no fact from your side rather just spinning a narrative. The only fact is Mourinho lost his two best players and even their best midfielder in Sissoko That is the equivalent of Liverpool losing Salah, Henderson and Mane for a long time. Even klopp will struggle with that kind of predicament. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by sleekdot(m): 2:31pm On Mar 11, 2020 |
spillo1:It is the narrative they have always given us that Mourinho can work in less than ideal situation while Pep needs perfect situations to perform Mourinho now has that same less than ideal situation and all we hear now are excuses |

Ibime:The thing is; both PDP and APC supporters are happy Sanusi was removed. For the APC guys, they detest him because he spoke hard truth to power, for the PDP guys, it's down to his squabbles with the GEJ administration. It's a shame all the same that Ganduje ridiculed the stool of the Emir. That stool will struggle to command respect in the comity of Kings. |
