More developed countries are not taking more precautions.
People have been passing through the UK airports from Italy without any instruction, stops, or filling of details/forms.
They dont even know about the self quarantine and most are going back straight to work after their holiday in Italy.
The only thing they are doing better than us is their top notch existing health infrastructure. Our own public health care infrastructures have barely made progress since the 70s and seems to be getting worse.
We should all just take public health advice seriously, because no country can genuinely cope if the pandemic gets worse .
There's no vaccine or cure in sight, and no facilities to care for seriously sick persons especially the elderly (even in the abroad, because even Italy is currently overwhelmed as they have a large proportion of elderly population who are at risk of severe disease).
So let's all start preaching practical steps to stay safe.
Avoid gatherings/meetings like fellowships, religious houses, hospitals (unless absolutely necessary), viewing centres, markets etc..
Regular handwashing/ use of hand sanitizere and avoid touching your face indiscriminately .
If you have a cold, resect yourself and others and self quarantine.
Sneeze into a tissue or into your elbow if you dont have tissue for you mouth, and avoid spitting about like a cobra.

At the end of the day, it is a mindset.

We Africans don't have it- especially Nigerians. From leadership down to followership... It stems from your lawmakers who don't wanna buy cars made in Nigeria to persons like yourself who can't see far into the distance. At the end of it all, we are all guilty in one way or the other. The mindset has to change first before anything else can kickoff.

Else, the black race will never get there. The inferiority and shortsightedness on our part is just too much.

read very well, they said they will release him after the second test confirm negative. I am saying even after confirming negative, they should keep him and watch him for another 14 days.

The other people, they said they have done one test and it came out negative, that they will do another test and if it comes out negative, they can release them. I am saying they should be kept for at least 14 days even if the result shows negative.

The govt has now realize that the disease is no respecter of any person. I remember when mr Lai mohammed was briefing jounalist after a meeting when he said that the govt will not stop Nigerians from traveling to and fro china. Which also means that people from countries affected by CONVID-19 are free 2 come to Nigeria without restriction by allowing the Italian to enter Nigeria and spread the disease. If we are serious we must stop people coming from CONVID-19 affected countries from coming to Nigeria or they should quarantine such pending when they are certified to be free.

Unfortunately, Nigeria can't be great again. The reason they are working so hard in tackling this disease is simply because it would also affect them if something goes wrong. They are scared of dying.

This is not the best time to be traveling around the world like ajala u can easily catch this deadly virus from a fellow passenger in ur flight who is carrying the virus without even knowing.
This virus might even be spreading quietly in Nigeria without the govt knowing about it, the Italian idex case successfully carried the virus into nigeria without any detections from the authorities at the airport how sure are we that there are no other infected foriegners who have also entered into the country without any notice and are quietly spreading this virus to unsuspecting nigerians? May God save us from this epidemic.
