Go to component services, locate windows update and stop the service. |

Its not possible.. You can't stop or made windows 10 update optional.. Only from windows 8 below you're allowed to do that. |

Fr33born:press the windows key and search 'services', open it then scroll to down and look for ”windows updates”, right-click on it, then click ”properties", it should open up a page where you can set windows update to disable instead of the default ’automatic' |

Whoever Is saying it’s not possible I guess they are just computer users. Finally an engineer to your rescue. Click on run. And type gpedit.msc Hit enter Go to user expand on the left corner and located configure windows update .chose enable and apply.that will prohibit windows from searching for it. Secondly expand admin on same left down corner and locate windows automatic update and disable it. This will make window to only install update manually meaning only user can install.update will never install anymore. Thank me later 2 Likes |
