Gandollar, Ifayemi, Buhari and all APC supporters are all deranged. Watch in few years time how monarchial curses will controlled their useless lives and accursed generation. |

Hmm... if this the start of our own cultural revolution I'm truly in for it. We have had enough damage from our so called cultural diversity which is just a smokescreen for rampant racism and hidden bigotry which thezs so called traditional leaders act as totem poles. In the light of the 'locomotive theory' I had hopes that a highly educated, exposed and dynamic personality such as Sanusi heading auch an institution like the Kano Emirate will be a 'pushing force' for good to drive the much needes reforms amongst the cotizens of the north towards those factots that makw for development namwly education, population control and the erosion of harmful cultural but this experiment has not turned out right. Now that he is out having tasted the stool he could be a better force for good in 'pulling' the people along with the great sympathy he has garnered. The El-Rufai interventions shows that Sanusi's messages against the cultural establishment has hit home and some are prepared to risk liberalism to get ahead. If this ia what is happening in wider Nigeria, it has my full support. Once again and I will repeat this continually: There is a reason the world has largely ridden itself of monarchical rule and diminished its appeal in other climes. It is just not compatible with the development globalisation brings and not just acceptable to the modern day citizen of the world. A working, dominant tribal identity is very corrosive to development. Whenever I visit Portharcourt and my friend invites me to invest in property in his locality I always remind him that I will do when 'his village' becomes 'a city'. His property may just be 5 minutes away from the industrial centre of Portharcourt and ten minutes away from Portharcourt city centre but everything is dominated by 'community rules and regulations' from curfew times to the keeping of female dogs. How do you move forward that way. We need a cultural revolution in Nigeria. |

Kulverstukas:They are puppets right from the day they succumbed to the colonial masters. Check very well, they have no constitutional role and Governors are their employer, so they can hire and fire, period!!! |

seunmsg:the truth is that these our monarchs are one way we waste our scarce resources. The monarchy should not continue in the way it is now. I see no use for it. There functions has technically and in all practice been passed to our political officers. they just sit there to sell lands and extort people. For the sake of history, palaces and monarchy should be made what it ought to be in our modern realty -A MUSEUM. |

The whole of Page 1 and 2 no reasonable comments. I'm sure none of them read the letter. Where did it say in the letter that the governor wants to remove them? You refuse to go to work for 6months but you're still collecting salary, HR gives you 3 days to explain the reasons for your actions; then you start running upandan shouting that your boss wants to sack you. seunmsg:What is Fayemi doing? Because someone in the north did one yeye thing you must also try your own. I've always say this Governor is not rightfully disposed to serve the people other than self. There are many more important issues in his domain that needs attention as we speak of which removal of Obas is not one of them. It is actually unthinking on the part of our leaders to desecrate traditional rulers and stools in these manner, the way the colonial masters who are shrewd cheats, terrorists and thieves using all manners of cunning plan to shortchange the people by rendering their traditional leaders whom they met in Africa installed not by them but by their people. Instead of doing obeisance and respect them they set up parallel Government to cause confusion and those who resists were summarily executed or banished. Our unthinking leaders are towing this line to accomplish their nefarious plan and cover their corruption. As we see in Ganduje (Gandolar) and now Fayemi. Fayemi is such a disappointing son of yoruba land because "Ase bi Oyo lari Oyo o se bi baba enikankan". I think Fayemi must be looked with hindsight in anything pertaining to leadership in Yoruba land. May we not be victim of sell outs oooo. |
