Is Ganduje A Fulani Or Hausa Man? by Cantonese(op): 9:07am On Mar 13, 2020

I have asked this question following the recent troubles in the Kano emirate and the eventual sacking of Sanusi Lamido.

It seemed so easy for Ganduje to brush aside Sanusi Lamido. We have been filled with stories on the events leading to and installation of Sanusi as the Emir. We have also been told of the roles played by Rabiu Kwankwanso, then as the governor under PDP and Ganduje as his deputy in making Sanusi the emir.

What I am seeking to know is if Ganduje is a Fulani or Hausa man. If he is a Fulani man, how come it was so easy to offend a fellow Fulani man without noise or violence. If Ganduje is an Hausa man then how was he able to uproot a Fulani king with so much ease?

Seeing the actions of the Fulanis all over the country in the recent times, how is it that the Fulanis have been very silent in this matter? Is it true that some people can offend the Fulanis and get away with it?

Ganduje is a pure Hausa man. No fulani man has ruled Kano state since 1999.

Kwankwaso is Fulani

Gandollar is Fuani

Shakarau is Fulani ( currently the Sarduana of Kano)

They call it Hausa/Fulani so it does not matter to the core Hausas if its Fulani or Hausa . By the way Islam made it
possible for Fulani to always be head for them Muslim ...Something we do not accept down south and thats the source of wahala...

No emir in the whole north is an Hausa.

No commissioner of police in the north is Hausa

No army commander in any of the barracks is Hausa

Am not even sure their is an hausa imam in any of the mosques.

Kano Emirates: I’m more Fulani than noisemakers, says Ganduje

KANO State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has described those criticising the four emirates he created as noisemakers.

He said the critcs have no link to Fulani clan.

He said: “I am more Fulani than many of them. Some do not even have any trace to Fulani clan.”
During the creation of Bichi, Rano, Karaye and Gaya Emirates from the then Kano Emirate, there were criticisms from some quarters.

Some critics suggested that Ganduje did that to erode traditional Fulani historical dynasty.

Ganduje, however, maintained that “such individuals, who do not see good in what we did by the creation of more emirates, are mere noisemakers”.

He spoke when the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Tafida Abubakar (Autan Bawo), alongside elders and leaders from the emirate visited him for the role he played before the emergence of Alasan Ado Doguwa as the House of Representatives’ Majority Leader.

Doguwa represents Tudunwada/Doguwa Federal Constituency Kano State. District Head of Sumaila Alhaji Ibrahin Ado Bayero represented the emir.

“None of them can tell me he is more Fulani than I am. My grand grandfathers from both paternal and maternal side were all Fulani. So, also my grand grandmothers from both sides are all Fulani. Who among such people is more Fulani than me?” the governor queried.

Continue living in self denial.... Whether he's Igbo or NOT, he's not far from the truth.... I dunno about political positions, but one thing I know for sure is the fact that fulanis av completely subjugated the Hausas...

The only way any Hausa can occupy a leadership position in the North is to claim a relationship or lie about it to the FULANI dynasty.

A few have come out after assuming leadership as Hausa but he would pay for it.

Magasawa, the Hausa religion has been relegated to obscurity just as traditional religions have in the South.

This is why Black American scholars, even Mandela said you cannot get a leadership position in Nigeria unless you are a Christian or a Muslim.

Nigerians know that. Who are you fooling?

at this point its clear Ganduje isn't a Fulani man, no doubt he might have a bit of Fulani to his lineage but he is very much an hausa man

Not only is Ganduje Fulani, he was born in a Fulani nomadic settlement, speaks fluent Fulani and has Fulani tribal marks.

As someone from kano, we don't make alot of distinction between Fulani or Hausa. We are all thesame as the tribes have been intermarrying for 200yrs
