There was one liverpool fan here that dissappeared from here permanently when Gerrard slipped. I worry about what he will do to himself if the league is voided this year as is being mooted in some quarters. |

A40:If the ball had not gone in from the useless goal keeper or the other defender closed up the shooter, you wouldnt be here talking rubbish. But VVD is the one to blame. |

Ibime:I heard the EPL is suspended for 3 weeks, What is the best case scenario that will make games resume in the 3 weeks? Cos I can't see how the games will resume until the virus is contained all over the world |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Thecassanova: 2:23pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
UCL suspended, so we remain in the UCL longer than Liverpool. Breathe. What A boring weekend ahead! No outings, no soccer. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by A40(m): 2:25pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Swissh:Lol they are crazy. Liverpool should sue the entire League and take them to the CAS if need be. League they have won at a canter. Pata pata let them play the remaining games behind closed doors |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by A40(m): 2:28pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
airmark:The primary threat was Morata. If VVD for once charged at an easily rattled and brittle Morata he would have forced a mistake or cleared the ball to touch but your idolo kept backing off and backing off till the ball was inside the net |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by raumdeuter: 2:28pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
A40:Play the games against who? when players and coaches are already getting the virus? CHO has tested positive which means all his teammates are suspect, All his teammates played Everton last weekend meaning everyone in EVerton is suspect Liverpool plays Everton next abi? These players coaches and medical staff will go home after training and meet with their families who have also met with other people Let them sue shebi na person wey dey alive dey pay |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by A40(m): 2:32pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
raumdeuter:A two+ month suspension is the only realistic scenario where we can even talk of the league being voided. Player, not players. If due protocol is observed I'm sure the affected personnel can get treatment within the specified period the league will be on hiatus. The cancellation is just banter talk. Worst case scenario they move the Euros |

This happened in London. Hmmmmm

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 2:36pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
raumdeuter:They will not open back up. Season will end cos players haven't been training and many players or staff will have Corona. All 20 clubs will vote. They will all agree to avoid relegation, crown Liverpool Champions and keep the league table the same for European qualification. All clubs will agree especially the ones fearing relegation. They will all vote as above except Manure and Wolves who will be pissed off that they never made UCL qualification. Biggest L of the season incoming for Manure. We need to host partê over that. |

A40:CHO has tested positive which means all his teammates are suspect, All his teammates played Everton last weekend meaning everyone in Everton is suspect Liverpool plays Everton next right? This is not banter this is real life and panic mode done take over, The aisle for bottle water at Walmart was empty yesterday. Tissue paper is out since last weekend This morning by 6AM long queues was already outside Target people waiting to buy anything Bundesliga still never decide to suspend this weekend games and many players are complaining about it, Thiago said its irresponsible to risk players life over football Do you think 3 weeks would have brought everything back to normal? and football will be okay to continue |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Griffon: 2:42pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Ibime:Two questions: 1. If all clubs are to agree that the league table gets unaltered, then what happens to City's pending ban? Shouldn't manyoo be gifted a spot in the UCL at the expense of the caught out Citeh? 2. Does this collective agreement apply with clubs in the lower tiers? |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 2:43pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Griffon:City ban will be deferred. CAS will not hold sitting in this climate. EPL is a collective with voting rights for all 20 clubs. They may agree to allow 2 or 3 more clubs from Championship and play an expanded league next year, maybe with League Cup cancelled, and FA Cup replays binned to accommodate. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by PietroRick: 2:46pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Ibime:I don't see how they can vote to avoid relegation while crowning anyone champions at the same time. No consistency. Any club afraid of relegation will vote for the season to be voided. That's the only thing that favours all parties at the lower end of the table. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by raumdeuter: 2:47pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Ibime:Ending the season seems the only logical thing, And I would be pained cos with the way teams have dropped in the CL and their current form, Bayern will have a realistic chance at winning the CL but everything else is secondary. Health is the main thing I know a Man utd friend that has been arguing with me he wants games to continue cos Cancelling the season or awarding on current standing does not favour them I dont care, though I would have a big laugh if Liverpool after all the work don't get that title. Even if they get the title, Citeh and Pep still retain the 100points record |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 2:49pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
PietroRick:It depends how they phrase the question they put to vote. Question can be either (a.) Void the league or (b.) Keep current standings with no relegation Either way, big W for Chelsea and big L for Manure! ![]() |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by raumdeuter: 2:52pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Ibime:2 votes to option A already www.nairaland.com/attachments/11198221_screenshot20200313135027_png6a6909833ed0f78ea0f0c6ade16613bf By the time you add Citeh, All the team in relegation battles and the others wey Liverpool and their fans don offend this fit be like Peter Odili elections in Rivers state Option A 18 votes - Option B 1vote, Man utd goes to Election tribunal BTW if those are the 2 choices I suspect with a gun to their head, Man utd will vote A to deny Liverpool the title |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by PietroRick: 2:53pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Ibime:I can chest the supposed L, if it means Liverpool fans get to prophetically claim next year to be their year at least once more |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 2:57pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
raumdeuter:West Ham will vote either one to avoid relegation. To convince them to keep current standings, there needs to be another vote to split prize money more evenly between all 20 teams because at this moment, they will take home less than they did last season. Spurs will want it voided so they can keep UCL place. On the other hand, Leicester will want to keep current standing for the same reason. There is a lot of horse-trading to be done. The mathematics is simply which of the 20 clubs is in a better or worse place than last season. Jagaban will love this kind of political mathematics. At this moment, Manure is the team with 100% probability of catching a fat L. Liverpool are still 50-50 to catch a big L. |

I'm still perplexed as to how African countries are being very lucky as regards the pandemic. Although, the effects are beginning to be felt slowly economically, the oil price war has affected the budget planning and implementation and the dollar has gained significantly on the naira which can inturn lead to hyper inflation. I think it's only a matter of time before prices of basic commodities and groceries go up since we rely mostly on imported goods. I'm going into the market with 95k today to stock up goods that will last for at least 3 months. One can never be too careful. If advanced countries are this affected, what happens if it becomes viral here? |

One thing I'm glad for is that Atletico beat Liverpool with a full Anfield So no excuses. Not that "if we played return leg" or if we had Anfield behind us |

raumdeuter:Coronavirus is not a death sentence. The Utah Jazz squad for example only two people were eventually found to have tested positive. From a pool of almost 50 people I suspect people have started hoarding items and depending on how quickly people respond to treatment this disease can be pushed back pretty quickly. Remember the Ebola virus outbreak here and how quickly it was nipped in the bud. China are already silently making progress in that regard The Bundesliga will start suspension from Tuesday |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Swissh: 3:10pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
A40:Mathematically Liverpool have not won the league. They have nothing to carry the league to court for because they won't be the only ones affected. They should blame coronavirus ![]() |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by A40(m): 3:11pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Lol unless you're praying for Coronavirus to still be here with us and people dying from it en masse in two months time, I don't see how their league gets cancelled. 63 day stoppage is the minimum timeframe for that to become an option |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by donjazet(m): 3:11pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Ibime:So at it stands right now, there are 4 teams who are sure to vote against the league being voided; Manu, Leicester, Liverpool, wolves. Then probably Sheffield. We're definitely in for an elongated period of boredom. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by A40(m): 3:13pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Swissh:They have not lost it either. If after 63 days Corona is still here then maybe, I suspect a creative solution would be found. I don't like partiality. No Chelsea, United or Arsenal fan will agree if they are in Liverpool's shoes |
