Way to go, Fayemi must have been told Yorubaland is not Arewa Republic whereby you toyed with tradition and custom. |

I’m glad he has finally decided to toe the path of reconciliation instead of the all out war that the Alawe’s letter suggested. Alaafin’s intervention in the matter was at the request of prominent traditional rulers in the south west. He is not a meddlesome interloper. There is a popular saying in Yoruba land that “Agba okin wa loja, ki ori omotitun wo”. His intervention is for peace and the protection of Yoruba royalty. We cannot continue to drag our traditional institutions in the mud simply because of politics. Ekiti Obas are brothers who rule over their respective kingdoms without interference. Hopefully, the matter will be resolved and the brotherliness restored. |

Very impressive. It is a well cherised gift. I know of some "civilised" people who will wake their parents as per kicking of football. ![]() Today, those people are more american than the Americans themselves. ![]() They can narrate the biography of all American presidents off heart, better than an average American. |

seunmsg:I still wonder why he made Alawe the Chairman of the Council. It's really strange. |
| Re: Fayemi Visit Alaafin by seunmsg(m): 3:32pm On Mar 15, 2020 |
fyneguy:Politics. Most of the top Obas refused to support him during the last governorship election. In fact, when it became obvious that Fayemi had won, a prominent Oba called the REC and threatened him that he cannot guarantee his security if he goes ahead to announce Fayemi. Prince Dayo Adeyeye had to quickly reach out to his cousin, the Arinjale of Ise who immediately reached out to some like minded Obas. These Obas then reached out to the REC and assured him that he should go ahead and announce the result that nothing would happen to him. When Fayemi was sworn in, he decided to spite the top Obas by appointing someone they all see as a junior Oba as chairman of the traditional council. |

seunmsg:ọba called REC in Nigeria, lolz you guys can be funny with conspiracy theories. |
| Re: Fayemi Visit Alaafin by seunmsg(m): 3:49pm On Mar 15, 2020 |
masseratti:Who is a REC that a monarch cannot call? |
| Re: Fayemi Visit Alaafin by masseratti: 4:00pm On Mar 15, 2020 |
seunmsg:A REC has no business with any monarch anywhere in Nigeria, any one can call a REC if you have his or her number, no big deal but he is not answerable to any monarch period. No monarch has security outfit under there command to guarantee anyone safety, so why would an Ọba call a REC tó tell him such? |

masseratti:You are just arguing simply because you want to argue. Nobody said RECs have business with monarchs. But most RECs build solid relationship with all stakeholders in their state of residence. Whether you believe my post or not is your business. The information at my disposal as far as Ekiti State is concerned is first class and everything I posted up there is 100% accurate. |

masseratti:The dethroment of Alaafin has the backing of other Obas. |
| Re: Fayemi Visit Alaafin by masseratti: 6:53pm On Mar 15, 2020 |
dont8:your point being? And backing of which other Obas, oga go and learn your history well, had nothing to do with other Obas, it's exact same thing that happened between Sanusi, ganduje, kwankwaso that happened between Aláàfin, àwo, zik in the 50s. |
| Re: Fayemi Visit Alaafin by fyneguy: 7:56pm On Mar 15, 2020 |
seunmsg:Hmmm, This is strange because some of the Pelupelu Obas supported Fayemi because Fayose cancelled the LCDA's they wanted. For instance, The Owa-Oye of Okemesi supported Fayemi. Yet he is one of the litigants now. Though, he is attending the meeting with Alawe now. |
