So Africa nations cannot close its borders? Which kind mumu continent is this? People flying in from Europe have a better chance of getting good health care over there, why still allowing flights into Africa. We will never learn. This virus was created to target Africa since the white man thinks we are the lesser being in this world and should be depopulated. Watch how this virus will spread in Africa rapidly. 4 Likes |

wwwihy: Actually he is right. When the Italian landed in late February and waltzed through our airport we had ONE testing site and no quarantine site. Countries have long banned flights from, or automatic quarantine for all high-incidence areas (US banned flights from China in January, from Milan in February!) Nigeria has done none of that TO DATE! If Nigeria’s weather were cold that Italian man would have infected all the drivers who drove him, all the hotel staff who served him, and most of the people he interacted with in the factory. And then those people would have infected other people, and so on. It has been scientifically proven the virus does not succeed in warm humid areas plus our immune boosting traditional diet, and vitamin D from our hot sun and the virus has little chance. See below. THANK OUR BLESSED WEATHER AND HOT SUN! 1 Like

MansoryMX:watch how deaths won't be recorded in Africa like China and Europe... We keep on hoping on bad...the virus is not as deadly as Ebola and Lassa for the mortality rate of Lassa is about 40%. The mortality rate is about 1-2% and the most vulnerable remains the old which Asia and Europe has more of that. 98% of people that have the virus recover and Africa has the youngest population compared to any other Continent....If you check well the people that are dying are the very old....the average age of deaths of people in Italy is 81 yrs, In China it 70+...What Africa has is that we don't have an ageing population but a young one...let's also look at the positive. Just yesterday the first volunteer to be tested by the trial vaccine was tested in the US, China new cases is now almost zero and the country is getting back to normal. Look at the way the media reports Africa, as if they are happy our cases are increasing or they are justifying something...Read the post well and you know this foreign media don't mean well for us |

Slow government. Theey are waiting to be hit by a bus before acting to close all borders. They fail to realise that being behind the infection curve will leave Nigeria in the lurch when eventually other countries recover and we have not. Case in question is China which is recovering and is now barring other country's citizens from coming. Africa may as well become the hotspot down the line and it is then we will feel the whole weight of the discriminatory world. We either have the pandemic now that other countries have it or we avoid it totally. Our actions feel as if we are welcoming it with open arms, even daring it to come with a kind of pomposity I just cannot understand. Folks it is a mistake. When you get the pandemic is a more important economic question than how many are affected. I predicted the economic consequence of this pandemic almost a month ago when folks hadn't even heard of the viral outbreak. Throughout the world the battle against this pandemic has been entirely an economic one. One of capacity and resources to fight it. Northern Italy will run out of money by March end. That is the 9th largest economy in the world with a population not even in the top thirty. How will Nigeria cope. An economy that was already bankrupt yet we are waiting for the virus to come before taking action. Nigeria should close all its borders now and begin to restrict unnecessary movement and public gatherings while there is time. Let us as a nation not be amongst the last countries to be infected so that we will not be amongst the last to recover. That will be a triple tragedy. 2 Likes |

mvem: The problem is not the mortality, it is the rapidity of the spread. Sick people simply cannot work. Imagine all your soldiers ill, all your police ill, all your prison warders ill, all your doctors ill, in Nigeria all your oil production workers ill, all your energy workers ill. Governance and the organisation of society will simply collapse. The cost of economic living will simply escalate beyond what people can cope with. The virus is not the problem. It is the societal effects that is. That is what is called a pandemic. 1 Like |

Reference:it has been shown that more than half of carriers don't even show sign of symptoms or sickness...another half of the carriers show mild symptoms...Only about 10% of cases do need hospital care and about 5% or so cases get to the severe level and do need intensive care. Of these 5-10% is mostly the very old with a weak immune system or weak lungs that needs support systems 1 Like |
