Blue3k2: He will just as he did for the CBN looting that Osinbajo helped him get the courts to stop investigation. barcanista: The FRCN’s report on Sanusi The decision to suspend the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido was based on a report of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria dated June 7, 2013. The report was made after a review of Sanusi’s response to the query issued to him by the President over the apex bank’s financial statement of 2012. His response was dated May 20, 2013. According to a copy of the report obtained by our correspondent on Thursday, the council indicates that the explanation provided by the suspended CBN governor is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.” The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.” The report read: The particulars of the infractions against Sanusi are: Persistent refusal and/or negligence to comply with the Public Procurement Act in the procurement practices of the Central Bank of Nigeria. (A) By virtue of Section 15 (1)(a) of the Public Procurement Act, the provisions of the Act are expected to comply to ‘all procurement of goods, works and services carried out by the Federal Government of Nigeria and all procurement entities.’ This definition clearly includes the Central Bank of Nigeria. (B) It is however regrettable that the Central Bank of Nigeria, under his leadership, has refused and/or neglected to comply with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act (PPA). You will recall that one of the primary reasons for the enactment of the PPA was the need to promote transparency, competitiveness, cost of effectiveness and professionalism in the public sector procurement system. donpapa: 3.4 billion naira and 2.2 billion naira is a lot of money, that's a lot worse than deposition and banishment friend. Letting thieves walk away won't allow Nigeria to walk. As for Ganduje, let him enjoys his immunity for the time being, thanks to PDP and Obasanjo. 1 Like |

Maxymilliano: texazzpete: I thought he went to court and the banishment was lifted. You all just remember that banishment again now that he's to face corruption allegations. Nigerians! There is nothing bad in letting the Nigerians and the world know who our dear critic really is. 1 Like |

This one in addition to the allegation of misappropriation of funds amounting to N2b? It's looking like it's going to be a long day in court. |

maasoap: It was an interim order releasing him “from the detention and or confinement of the respondents and restoring the applicant’s rights to human dignity, personal liberty, freedom of association and movement in Nigeria, (apart from Kano State) pending the hearing and determination of the applicant’s originating summons.” He still remain banished from Kano State. Question is, why the summons to a state he has been banished ? |

Minus sentiments oh. SANUSI should be investigate . In countries like south africa financial crime is a serious crime. All of them destroyed this beautiful countries. They are all enemies of the poor. They are all greedy. Someday Gandollar will answer for his crimes. No normal countries gives immunity to active politicians. They are all thieves. Shameless people. They keep looting. |

maasoap: The Kano state Government did not walk back the ban. The courts declared the banishment illegal. Until they acknowledge that their stance on banishment was wrong, it is hypocritical of them to ask him to come to Kano. As I said before, Sanusi himself needs fear no probe. One must remember how he embarrassed the GEJ administration with a killer response the last time anyone tried to probe him. |

anonimi: Are you sure you should be bringing this up? Afterall, it was Sanusi’s brilliant response to these amateurish, hastily cooked up charges that finally showed the world what an inept clown GEJ was a President. GEJ probing Sanusi for expenditures the president himself signed off on was one of the funniest moments of 2013/2014. |
