OlujobaSamuel: Why are you answering this ignorant, dumb illiterate talking rubbish through his asshole? Send his Ruud Van Nistelroy backside to AFGHANISTAN, IRAQ, YEMEN, SOMALIA, OR SYRIA, so he can know what an actual failed state is. That's the best solution for loud mouthed, stupid, ignorant, he-goats like this. |
Re: The United Nations Should Have A Mandate To Take Over Failed States Like Nigeria by Rossinnki: 8:35pm On Mar 17, 2020 |
Bobbyfreshh: Come on will you shut up there. When was your first power plant built? Lemme guess. You have no clue. How about this fact. The white man you worship ruled Nigeria unchallenged for 63 years, from 1897 to 1960. Exporting our resources, cocoa, palm oil, tin, rubber, groundnuts, iron ore, coal etc etc, worth TRILLIONS of dollars in total, counting those 63 years. But our first power plant - Kainji Dam - was built and commissioned by the Tafawa Balewa administration in 1964. Prior to that, the colonialists imported large industrial generators to use only in Ikoyi and the various GRAs in the country, where whites lived. The Nigerian population used candle and lantern. People could not afford generators, and even if they could they'd be useless, since the colonialists built no national grid! Homes were not wired. Our first full fledged university, University of Ibadan, was established in 1962. We had not ONE major hospital in Nigeria before independence. There was no middle class. Children ran around naked, even in cities. Millions of adults walked barefooted. In the 1950s our national soccer team toured England and insisted on playing BAREFOOTED. The colonial rulers had not introduced us to football boots. This was like 30 years after common Uruguay had won her first world cup! Our founding fathers - Zik, Awo, Enahoro, and co, fought for independence for a reason - the abject neglect of the Nigerian population, neglect that makes today's black leaders look like Father Christmas in comparison. You see, until you white worshiping DUNDERHEADS finally understand that colonialism is a system of EXPLOITATION and nothing else, you will continue being blind and dumb, and making stupid comments like you made. Assuming that just because some people are white or pink skinned, therefore they must rule better and be honest and so on. You fail to realise that everything is based on INTERESTS. If it is not in their INTERESTS to see you develop, they will NOT work to your benefit, but to theirs. Were it not for independence, which led to mass education instigated by our so called ''bad leaders'', YOU would be a village illiterate peasant just like 95% of Nigerians were under colonial rule, and just like your grand or great grand parents MOST CERTAINLY were. RUBBISH. |

NdiaraIGBO: Honestly man, it's so depressing to see these our youths reasoning like cows. Their naivety and ignorance of geopolitics is abysmal and disgraceful. Their reasoning basically boils down to, ''these guys have white skin, so automatically they will rule better.'' Nothing more complex that that! |

RuudVanNisteroy: They do! It has been relaxed. There are progressive steps of intervention beginning at saving endangered citizens from a cruel govt, to actually invading to preserve a nation from complete ruin and extermination....the top is declaring a country a "mandate territory". They do have this law but political correctness and greed has crippled its enforcement. |

RuudVanNisteroy:I can feel your pain. And I agree that the politicians in power are far from the best the country has to offer. There are good politicians anyways, but the cost of campaigns, bribery and electoral irregularities make it impossible for them to be in power. But to your topic: - What will be their criteria of a failed state? - Who will be the leader of such a country, people will submit CVs? - Will it not override their stand, UN, on Sovereignty of a Nation? - How about Activists tagging it as neocolonization? So far that the electoral process depends on money and corruption, bad leaders will emerge. To get good leadership, political officers should earn less. In fact, teachers should earn more than senators. Do you know the outcome? Only passionate people will seek political positions, and not as a means to enrich themselves and their generations unborn. These and more are my ideas, and if by God's grace I happen to be in that position of leadership, things will change. We need to have a selfless leader, even the senate President can change things if he wants. |

meavox:From what you attached, I like the part of travel ban if they don't meet the minimum criteria. That will make the leaders to sit-up and work. I can also relate it to school exams. The fact there is 50% mark for a pass is why most people study hard to move to the next class. Some people even forgo pleasures that surround the school environment. You can imagine the situation if there are no pass criteria. But again, do we really need the 'International community' for this? A nation that wants to progress can do this by passing it as a law. Any government that does this in Nigeria really means well for the country. 1 Like 1 Share |
