If u don't know know it DT a lot of graduate docs are finding it hard getting a job in naija....many many of them are just putting up with private clinics at 70-80k .monthly....

Gone are the days when docs are so scarce nd are badly needed at the hospitals

Lol! Have you ever been to any hospital where there is an interview for recruitment of doctors? You see them in their hundreds even when the vacancy could just be in tens. The scarcity of health personal in Nigeria is structural. Large parts of Nigeria are undeserved, yet many doctors are unemployed. Its not necessarily about those that left the country. In fact many left because they could not secure a decent job here. Many state governments cannot afford doctors. Local governments are not even in the equation, yet they are needed everywhere. Good careers are only found in federal institutions and few state hospitals. That's the real problem - absorptive capacity of the economy, not necessarily scarcity..
