A hit and run truck driver in the early hours of Wednesday crushed three women to death at Oyigbo in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State. The incident occurred at the popular Ukwube market where hundreds of women converted some part of the road as a makeshift stall to display their wares. According to reports, the incident happened around 5.30am in the morning, when the driver of the truck pulled a reverse gear and rammed its tyres on the victims, killing them on the spot. The driver of the vehicle reportedly took to his heels after the incident occurred, abandoning the victims. Spokesperon of the Rivers state Police Command spokesman, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, who confirmed the incident, said the police are on the trail of the driver of the vehicle. These so called truck drivers hit people for fun especially at night .. You will be shocked to know their revelations,I was sitted at a store close to a bar they were drinking and spilling secrets,the atrocities these truck drivers cause is heart wrenching If left to me,Big cars should be banned from driving at night, especially the wee ours of morning I came to work one early morning and saw a dead body on the road,hit by a truck driver,the body was an eyesore, skull scattered everywhere This must have been someone who was waiting by the roadside for a bus or wanted to cross |

This is the major reason I always condemn any form of goods displaying on the road. The bad side of it is always more than the good side. Our governments should provide markets places for us and we should all make sure we use the market and the the roads for vehicles and passerby |

The truck driver action was a mistake while the victim position as at then was at wrong place,an error to death.. stubbornness to common ordered.. selling your wares on the road,by the road side are completely prohibited by law.. reverse gear is a manslaughter.. don't blame the driver..the victims are stubborn |
