Man Suspected Of Having Coronavirus Was Beaten To Death In Kenya by Faithdamy(op): 12:27pm On Mar 19, 2020

A group of Kenya youths beat up a man who was suspected of having coronavirus in south-eastern Kenya, and the man later died in hospital.

According to Nehemiah Bitok, local police chief who confirmed the death said no arrests had been made and investigations were under way.

According to reports, the attack took place in the fishing village of Msambweni in Kwale county, an area on the coast popular with tourists because of its sandy, white beaches

The man was attacked on his way home at around 21:00 local time on Tuesday after he had been out drinking.

As it is now, Kenya coronavirus update stands at seven cases.

With the killer virus outbreak in Kenya, the East African nation has imposed strict travel restrictions on foreigners, closed learning institutions and banned public gatherings.
