Considering the economic climate around the world and Nigeria in particular, as occasioned by the coronavirus, is it wise to make new investments? The devastating effects of this virus has the potential to quarantine Nigeria as a whole.

Kindly help me make an informed decision.

Depends on what you want to invest in.
The stock market is down and would be down for sometime. Now is a good time to get in.
Real Estate buyers would be scarce and prices would fall. Wait till it happens before you put money.

For me, I'm converting most of my volatile investments into cash. Would prefer to have cash at these times. We are approaching a state of emergency, cash is king.
