So I noticed sachet water has gone from #5 back to #10.
So it got me wondering why the sudden increase?

Possibly because the nylons are imported.

Dollar and close down of certain factories make it more difficult to get.

Nylon used for packaging the water moved from 730 to 1300
The bag moved from 4500 to 6500

Is op living in a cave, sachet water started selling for #10 in 2012 during the Jan 1st fuel crisis, some parts of the country reduced it afterwards but later on increased it back. Pure(sachet) water is #10 nationwide since 2012/2015.

Thank God for people who still sell a bag of pure water for N70

Fact is places like Zaria, Zamfara etc. Pure water na 5 naira. After the increase to 10 naira all over, they went back to selling it 5naira, reducing the size though.

So the increase fear the op. He/she must be from that side.

No he did not, pure water is N5 and 3 for N20 is some places, especially in the North.


But the price skyrocketed all of a sudden, a bag of sachet water jumped from N80 to N150.
