Covid-19: Who Can Draw Sanwo-olu's Ear 4 Me?! by DZTech(op): 5:03pm On Mar 22, 2020
Excuse me @lasg
dis eye service of closing schools an places of worship-
r u people ok?
So, parents should go about sharing d gift of #covid-19, in buses, clubs, restaurants, markets and offices; so they can return home each day to BLESS their children with d virus?
Dis is ur plan abi?
D only thing u guys have to do is copy wot successful nations like South Korea have done and paste it here.
Yet, simple lockdown announcement is too hard 4 u to do.
It's understandable dt testing thousands is hard 4 u to do; but even to order "iya l'ojas" to inspect every trader for covered faces with scarves and for each trader to have spray bottle of antiseptic- how hard can dt b?
Just how bad of an olodo r u people?!
If d heat's too much, get out of d kitchen!

Or u want us to face u for ur refusal to protest against d airport staying open?
Were u showing allegiance to buhari, or to lagosians- who're now paying for d fg's gross dereliction of duty?
Did it even occur to u people?
Our lives r too important for anyone's laziness or ineptitude.
Enuf is enuf.

You have a point, especially in the copy and paste measures and the fact that it would be difficult to test thousands. The measure is in order but they seem to have had a divided attention on the matter. Those who really need to be sensitized are the market women who collect money and insert same inside their bra. Some would collect the money and be using same hand to eat Ankara or wash their children bombom by the side after defecating. Those at bus stops, the local transport companies, those shopping at the malls where they must open and close doors themselves, etc. People touching railings at malls when ascending or descending the stairs. They ought to have sensitized them on possible health risks in observing all these. Going about with a public address system and walking the talk would have helped, same way they were going from martets to houses during selections to lure same masses into voting them.

Lagos is a sub-country whether we like it or not and as such, some federal government's delayed directives needn't be followed. They do not have any power over the airports as they belong to the fed but the state could have provided enough special make-shift isolation centres as passengers arrive and isolate them for the incubation period. This looks difficult but its achievable. If they could send billions on elections which is just a one day event. This costs money but they always get reimbursed by international organisations. All their shouts upandan on Coronavirus go still commot dollars at the end of the day but no citizens would know when the money would land.

Lives of citizens should matter more to them and all these talks aren't enough. As they board a BRT bus, the govt ought to share masks to passengers who have paid as they enter the bus...not only collecting their money. Then we would say they're really responsible. It's not enough to collect their money and now expose them to danger. Sanitizers are supposed to he provided at the entry points into the bus...all these are lacking.

Saving life costs money especially during an epidemic like this. They've been collecting the money when things were smooth from the masses and now is time to show responsibility. Nigeria would begin to enjoy real dividends of democracy the moment our government behind to be people-oriented. It's not enough to use same people for election , spending billions of naira just because they want to win and abandon them in such a critical time as this.

Before election, we were seeing pres buhari almost every day on our telly, making a case for his achievements but on the epidemic, we haven't seen him more than once. Whenever I talk, some would be so emotional that they'd not see it as an attack. Whereas, we see how caring other leaders are in other countries and this alone reassures a sense of belonging. 2 minutes address isn't too much. We saw sanwoolu images on third mainland bridge and his pictures all over Lagos before elections but the awareness in the epidemic and what to help people with are not as much as when election was being held. Sanwoolu has even improved since mid last week but lagos state deserves much more because the nation's economy and survival is dependent on us.
