ok, my bvn is linked to my Airtel number but I registered my MTN number as my alert number in all my 4 bank accounts. when I was opening sc account, after inputting my bvn, I was shown 2 numbers to choose from (1. my bvn linked number ie Airtel. 2 my alert receiving number ie MTN) I chose option 2 and they sent the otp to me via my MTN. mind you, it's my Airtel that's linked to my bvn.


Even the person I help register for on Monday also got otp from his alert number and not his bvn linked phone number

If you receive alert with a different phone number and you were not show that number too. maybe the bank only reset it for recieving alert, they didn't add it to your bvn also.
