For every football player, a certain percentage of the salary is deducted by the country as tax. It varies with each country, I think it's highest in Britain with close to 45 to 50 percent of the player's salary deducted as tax, in Spain I think it's around 35 percent. So, at the end of the day, the player does not go home with all the money stated as the salary, the country must take a percentage.

Ighalo had better use this Man U time raise his value with the Chinese club, or the Arab clubs or any club that will pay more than Man U is offering. Chinese Super League giant Shanghai Shenhua are luring back former Super Eagles’ striker Odion Ighalo back Asia from Asia with a mouth watering bumper package that will see the Nigerian eaning £400k-a-week salary a week in the next two years.
That new proposal worth in excess of £80m overall over the next four years, again before tax runs until the end of the 2024 Chinese season, making the deal as a whole.
