They will take a swab from inside your mouth or nose to take to lab. Blood of course too if already in admitted to hospital.

That device pointed at the forehead is to check for fever/high temperature.

Fever is one possible sign of Covid 19 but that's not diagnostic. That may then make you get properly tested.

The actual test is not widely available yet. Not even in UK or USA. Although Germany, South Korea & some others have rolled out a better testing regime.

Everyone is waiting for antibody test (currently under development) to test for any exposure. This test should be cheaper.

Actually there is nothing like Corona Virus Test in Nigeria, what they do is to take some samples from a suspected person and told him its negative to prevent any psychological trauma that may want arise as a result of careless information management.... That is why first test result is always negative in Nigeria.

They will ask the patient to come for 2nd test after 3 days, (note that, the minimum incubation period for Corona Virus is 72hrs) after the 3rd day, if the patient is truly infected, there will oblivious symptoms of the virus in the person, so,they can safely confirm his status and vice versa.

That is logic behind the inconsistent records of tested persons in Nigeria.

We need to scale up the rate of testing. We cannot contain the virus without massive testing of people who have had direct or indirect contacts with those that have tested positive. Ordinary folks are not being tested until they start showing serious symptoms while governors and political aides who have not shown symptoms are given priority and tested immediately.

In the face of this obvious challenges we are facing with Covid -19, I just hope our government are sincere and just with all their dealings especially with the information they put out to the populace I don't see why information should be at premium at this point. simply get people tested and isolate the infected so as to protect countless others.
